I can not unlock any levels, downloaded the game the other day and can not get past the first 3 tuturiols, on the 4th one it says i need to complete 1 more tuturiol, although i have completed the 3 tuturiols without any falls. also no results are sotred, i have completed all downloadable tracks, but it doesn't store any of the results. Any help would be much apprietiated.
Yes, there is a known bug in the game. If you have selected "friends", "team" or "weekly" high score lists, the game does not unlock the next track, until you change the high score list to "personal" / "all time" and look at the high score list of that track.
Thanks for your help, i have made sure that it was on personal and it still doesn't let me unlock any more levels! Any other ideas, i downloaded the game from miniclip, would that have been the lastest version?
I have precisely the same problem - every time I switch the game on it asks me to make a profile, and it doesn't save any stats at all, locking me out of all but the first three tutorials.
I downloaded this on steam, and I am running Windows Vista (32-bit).
Have you allowed the game to connect to internet from your firewall settings? The player profile and your high scores are stored to our game server. If the game cannot connect to the global profile server, you will be asked to create a new one.Originally Posted by greasycaesar
I have this same problem and I have checked my firewall setting and everything is set to allow it through. My internet connection is also running at 20mb and I can play bad company 2 flawlessly with no lag so I think it's a problem with the game or the servers.
Also why store single player content on a server? It's really annoying the demo worked well but now I pay money for this game only to find out it's dependant on my internet connection or your servers.
I don't care about online score boards or multiplayer I just want to play the game, if you want to feature them then make it an option to upload them.
Is there anyway to get a refund on steam if I had known it was dependant on being online I would never have bought it.
The problem is with the servers.
Chances are due to the large amount of new users due to the great Steam sale the Trials 2 servers are just no capable of handling the load.
Maybe Redlynx will add a few servers to aleviate the problem but chances are we will have to wait until server usage levels off again.
If you wait the levels usually will unlock once it gets a server connection again.
I read somewhere (here i believe) that if you block / unplug internet the game will go into a sort of "off line mode" and play just fine. Haven't tried it yet so who knows .. the downside is anything you do is not saved.
Got the same exact problem and the above is definatly the cause. Yay Steam Sale!Originally Posted by Sepioth
There is a "No active profile" option in "Manage profiles" which is like an offline mode. Try that.Originally Posted by werthers
