Have you upgraded your drivers or installed any new hardware lately?

First thing to try is to reboot your computer (select Restart from Windows start menu). Sometimes drivers get stuck in bad state, and restarting Windows solves the issue.

Please run "dxdiag" (type "dxdiag" on start menu search field), and select "Save all information". Copy & paste the information to this forum thread.
