Perhaps secondary profiles could be made to not show up in the overall rankings, they're essentially just a discrepency in the list. Pretty much anyone in the top 20 can make a secondary profile and get some top times on several tracks no problem.
An option to select a primary profile would be a nice way to solve this perhaps. This way, if someone wants to create a different profile to show a certain replay (or for whatever reasons secondary profiles are created), they can set their new profile as the primary profile and the rankings would update accordingly.

perhaps fills a void in there black hole of a heart

is a good idea Neo but sometimes there are 2 differnt ppl playing on the same computer(Families). perhaps it is not a problem....wtf do i know![]()
But what if your sister, mother, your friend or your father or perhaps your ugly brother with his lovely daughter plays the game too..? I think they should be able to compete with the others like you.
(oh and im not saying your brother is ugly..i just thought it rhymes nicely with the rest of the sentence)
EDIT: Oh and i have to admit that I too sometimes make a secondary profile, but I always delete it the next time i run the game. Sorry.
That's true.. not sure how to solve that. But I'm personally getting a little ticked off when I see I've dropped 2 or 3 ranks on pretty much every track again because of Mortii, Trex and galahan.Originally Posted by Dosto![]()
The developers really can't do anything about this; they can't stop players' friends and families from making their own profile using the same license key.
All that can really be done is a "gentleman's agreement" between high-ranked players, that secondary profiles if created will be deleted shortly thereafter.
Personally I don't see the appeal of a second profile, except perhaps for practising a new track first, then switching to a primary profile, for the sake of reducing your playtime. But to me there's too much risk of beating your main profile's time...
Never used a second profile, never will.

Just an option where you can choose "Use this profile on the online ranking system" would be enough. If people want to create a secondary profile to just play around with they usually don't care about the ranking on that particular profile.
e.g. if lestropie or any other top player creates a profile and just drives around they will most likely get a top 25 score even if they don't try that hard.
like dosto I delete second profiles when I next run the game.
This would be good for the high ranks but inconvienient for family players etc, I've basically given up on my rank because hours of practice ends up worthless, partly due to this sudden influx of second accounts.
EDIT: Top 100-#24 = whii, #38 = DarkOne, #47 = Kaxe, #52 = Frag, #53 = SillyRabit, #55 = Ric, #57 = Lund, #61 = P3rcingPul, #70 = pip, #78 = Jumpyer, #89 = Banshee, #90 = Rand0m, #96 = Snipercat.
These guys all have less than 25 hours of gameplay, so I can only presume they're second accounts. some may be main accounts, there may be some others I haven't spotted. Presumably there's 13 second accounts in the top 100 then.
