4WD Rock Crawling fun (PC Game)

1st of all, pardon the off-topic, but I didn't bust my *** making this post so nobody reads it in the off-topic board haha

I recently stumbled on this OLD PC game... (That's why I didn't post much here this week BTW) It's called 1nsane, it was great when it came out almost 10 years ago, and now it's abandonware so you can download it for free.

The retail version of the game is OK but what really makes it shine is the work of some really talented modders like Fat-Alfie who made add-ons about Rock Crawling, which I believe other Trials enthusiast might enjoy. Here's a video By Fat-Alfie, the vehicle and map are his creations.

This site is the place to find everything 1nsane related:

Fat-Alfie's Insane Creations website: download his stuff!

The maps you owe yourself to download if you get the game are: Anaconda, Python, Viper, Mamba and Carnage. If you have half the fun I had it will be worth it

    ---Insert feedback here---

PM me if you're having problems with "modding" the game, I'll be glad to share what I've learned.

I used to play this game years ago tho got bored with the racing aspect and eventually got into the habbit of just driving the vehicles off the highest drop I could find to see how much damage I could do to them,, got some crackers too lol

good game but gets repetitive very quickly,, amazing damage models.

Wow, one of my favourite games back then...
But never was into modding about it. Shame on me!
I'll try them for sure. Thanks for... sharing the knowledge.
Time to find were i have buried it.

About the "abandonware" thing, i'm not sure, but recently Codemasters removed the free version from their site, cause they gave the rights for a re-release to a new service, which you can find here. It's in a beta phase right now and you have to register to join it.
They basically take old games, make them compatible with WinXP/Vista, add some more stuff (all the latest patches, maybe custom content etc) and release them to the public (most of them cost around 4 euros, 1nsane is over 5! ). It's good for finding good old diamonds and be sure they work with no problem...

EDIT: Anaconda and Carnage are not on Fat Alfie's site or am i too blind to see them?
