Each of the tracks is started in turn automatically (in order). So the user ALWAYS starts on basics of handling. The moment any fault is made ANYWHERE on the tracks this mode is over.
Records are stored for this 'marathon' on a seperate table. Number of tracks past before fault, then ordered by by shortest TOTAL time.
I think it'd be a cool new game mode. How many courses in turn could you get through before doing a single fault?
We planned a "hardcore" mode to the game earlier. When you fell off the bike and die, your profile gets locked permanently (but your records are still visible in the server and you get a nice tombstone icon in next to your name in the records lists). Hardcore players also could not restart tracks or reset to last checkpoint, and if the game is closed during a level, the driver would die. Would have been a nice alternative play mode for the careful players for sure. Very frustrating, but hey this is Trials 2![]()
That sounds good sebbi.
Perhaps it could take shape in a career mode where in-game time passes for injuries to heal, or a career might end with a particularly bad injury or as sometimes happens, death. The injury model would surely need to be tweaked though, the Trials2 rider must have been modelled off the black guy out of the movie "Unbreakable".
And each purchase is limited to one account, and you can't delete your account. So after you die the only way to start again is to purchase another copy of the game.Originally Posted by sebbbi

seriously listen to the 2 suggestions,, worst idea ive heard imo,,
now a hardcore mode without the permanent lock or pay for another game ,, fine yes,, bring it on,, anything else is stupidity..
the hardcore mode could be a monthly thing, so you have a 'who can go furthest on 1 life' table for each month.
would be good for maybe a change at the top of the leaderboard each month.
