Hello,
The replay feature is one of the most awesome feature of this game, but one small little thing could make it a hundred time more useful: being able to see the key presses and the bike at the same time by moving the arrows around the bike.
Right now, when I have problem passing an obstacle (and you know the one I?m talking about?), I have to watch a replay several times to fully understand the behavior of the bike and which key to press, because the bike and arrows are so far from each other. It?s as if there were 2 distinct replays, one of the bike and one of the key presses.
It would be so much more efficient if I could keep my eyes on both key presses and bike behavior at the same time, plus I don?t think a simple option to change the arrows locations would be that hard to implement.
What do you think ?
I'm with you on this one. I felt that way about replays but never mentioned it. Anyway if it's not done in this game, it['s a good idea for the next one, as long as we can choose to have it this way or not.
Maybe an option about it? Because if i want to see e.g. my replays just for... admiring my skills, it would be "ugly" to have the arrows in the middle of the screen...
Yes, of course.Originally Posted by soad667
I guess the simplest solution would be to make the arrows "undockable" so that you can move them where ever you want with your mouse.
I agree it would be kinda ugly yo have arrows in the middle of the screen. But than again is it worth it?
to learn the move or pass the obstecale
I definitely agree on this suggestion. Had the exact same "issue" right now when trying that start slope of Inferno. If I have a problem doing some obstacle, I want to see the key presses, and I want to see when the guy does them exactly. Jumping back and forth between the bike and the key indicators is pretty hard, so I end up watching the replay dozens of times instead of three or four times to get the idea.
Trials 2 is damn hard and often failure or success depends on split-second timing.
Another nice feature, for the next Trials probably, would be actual slow-motion for the replays. That way, the split-second timing mentioned above would be a lot easier to get, I think.
And another nice feature, slightly replay related, would be the ability to search for results based on the time/faults they needed. Currently, I either watch replays of people that suck as badly as me, more or less, or replays of the top 50, who mostly are just way above my head. Seeing how a noticably better guy, that hasn't reached near perfection yet, does some obstacle would be pretty helpful sometimes.
Still agree with my suggestion:
Rewind a replay/fastforward replay, that would fix this problem.
if they do this, there should be an option to have it like that or not
