i think it would be beter that we create a account with a name and password so you can log onto other poeples computers that have the game or if u get another computer so u dont need to make a new account![]()
If you buy a new computer or have two computers, you see the same profiles on both. You can access your profiles on all computers that are using your license key.Originally Posted by scorpion
Login + password system would be better I agree. But it's too late to do this change now, as there are so many accounts currently.
Yep, login would be best. My friend owns this game too, and for example yesterday, we were at my place killing time and drinking beer. We also played little bit of Trials 2 SE, and when my friend played he had to play with "no active profile", since i have only one computer, and Trials is already on it, so he can't install it here with his own code. Also, it would be stupid to make other profile for him with my computer. So now when we are here, he just have to play with no active, and then he doesn't get his times and all that to toplists. That sucks.
I Don't really agree with your post.Originally Posted by sebbbi

It will be much better when this will be added. When i am at school i have to play the demo, because we are on a different pc every hour.
I would very like to see this in the future..
Current profiles do not have any passwords. If we change our system so that everyone can access their account from everywhere, we have to generate some kind of passwords for you all and send them using e-mail. However this is not something we would like to do, as there has been lots of problems with some e-mail systems. Trials license key posts are marked as spam by some systems, and this has created a lot of support requests. This change would overwhelm our support (lots of people would send angry questions about the game suddenly asking them for a password to play).Originally Posted by Henkish
If you have some suggestions how to create this feature in a 100% safe way (nobody can steal anyone's account during the transition) and without us needing to send e-mails to players, I would be happy to hear them of course.
message is recived the next time you start game in chat saying there will soon be a password please cheak your e-mails for infomation
This does not work, only very few players use the in-game chat. And all e-mails do not go through, so any solution using e-mails is not going to work for all users.Originally Posted by Skyth
This could actually work, if we added a dialog to the startup saying:Originally Posted by QcChopper

However, as silly as it might sound, many of the players have already forgot their license key. When we upgraded to Trials 2 Second Edition, we got hundreds of support requests asking the license key. Many players have entered the license key once, and then deleted the mail that contained it. All of you using the boards are hardcore players, and you keep your license keys in safe place. But there are many casual players who do not care about stuff like this, especially for cheap 19.90$ small games such as Trials 2 SE.
I agree with you, but look.Originally Posted by sebbbi
The hardcore players, as you call them, i think they would all agree with this upgrade.
I think it will be good to auto post a message when the game starts, with information about your licence key.
Maybe, i think there is, is there some kind of binding for the scripters of your team to make a macro so that the message will automaticly write the licence key into the message at the start up.
