Linking all levels of one category for one Score

A long long time ago back on the fun motion physics game forum I read a post regarding having a game mode where you can complete all the levels of one category back to back, eg all easy levels one after the other, for one score.

This sort of game mode could reward drivers with consistent skills rather than the time to play the levels 1 million times for that perfect lucky bounce

I would like to see the first person who could do all the hard tracks one after the other each with 0 faults! What do you think? Is this sort of thing possible to implement?

NB// I am not suggesting we just add the scores of each level from each category together and display it, I am suggesting a new mode where you are forced to play though all the levels and your time and faults gets added up each time.

    Cheers!

I don't think it's a good idea. Trials is about mastering a level and get a highscore in it. It wouldn't be nice to play all the hard levels before I can even test inferno.

I think it is a very good idea! I liked this mode in the older trials games, very challenging.

    Edit:
Irma I don't think he means that you have to do this. I think it should be an additional mode, so you can choose if you want to do the levels one by one or all in one go.

I also thinks its a good id?.vMakes you focus even more. Cause if you screw up you have to do all the level again.

Actually we have considered this kind of "career" mode where you have only one try for each level, but we have no schedule for this yet.

Glad you like the idea. Please keep it in mind as I think it could really work, I often test my skills by trying to do all the easy tracks in one go with no faults and it would be awesome to have a way to record the total time/faults!

Hehe, I posted the original idea on fun-motion forums, let me expand a little. My idea was to implement a "competition mode" with many 5 track challenges for example, just group 5 tracks together for example: 5 easy? 5 Hard? 5 Dynamic? AND combinations of tracks from different categories for more well rounded players.

It would be a great addition that doesn't seem too hard to implement for the depth it would bring to the game. The purpose of this mode would be to have records where "lucky" runs are much less of a factor over consistency. NO RESTART! This aspect of the game should be called Hardcore Mode. This would be the best addition possible on a purely competitive point of view IMO

@ sipe: Carreer mode sounds awesome!

what i think would be good would be to have a special mode where all the levels are in one big level, so at the end of one level theres a straight, and then it goes on to the next level. that would be good. from easy all the way to dynamic, with the last one being inferno. any one think that would be cool? might strain on the old loading though lol
