leaning the pilot using analog control
Hi everyone, last night i downloaded the demo and in a couple of hours i couldn't resist and got the game.
There is something i would like to be implemented in a future. I appreciate that the game has xinput support but i was a bit disappointed when i noticed that the game does not have real analog control.
It would be nice if the pilot followed the x-axis in a gamepad so if we press the thumbstick to the right the pilot would lean forward.
if we release the thumbstick the pilot would go back to his 'normal' position.
That's it
Thanks for developing such a addictive game. Its crack on wheels.
Trackmania finally has a serious contender!!! Who expected that???!!!

This kind of analog control you described has been actually discussed a lot. In the end we agreed that most PC players do not have controllers with analog triggers (for acceleration and brake), so adding full analog control (leaning, accelerate and brake) would have forced all the players to buy the XBox 360 pad to be able to complete with others.
Also one thing we really want to implement with analog thumbstick is leaning up/down in addition to forward/backward. This way you could jump even higher and control the bike more realistically. Real Trial bike drivers use up/down motions a lot.
If we someday do a (XBLA/PSN) console port of Trials 2 Second Edition, expect it to have full analog control, and up/down leaning in addition to forward/backward.
