    Hey mate.

Have you tried running the demo on your computer?

    Have you updated all drivers?

I don't know anything about that card, but it has enough memory.

Unfortunately Radeon 9250 does not support DirectX 9 feature set (shader model 2.0). Radeon 9500 is the first ATI DirectX 9 card.

Radeon 9000 and 9200 series are just renamed Radeon 8500 cards targeted at that time to very low end market and had only DirectX 8 feature set. The naming of those cards was a bit confusing I have to admit, but for example Geforce 4 MX was named even more confusingly, as it had only Geforce 2 feature set with no shader support at all (all Geforce 3 cards and other Geforce 4 cards had shader support). Fortunately the graphics card firms seem to have learned from their past mistakes, and the naming scheme of newer models is much more logical.

All 9500, 9600, 9700 and 9800 Radeons have full DirectX 9 feature set and run the game fine on both normal graphics mode and ultra high end graphics mode.

Cheapest add on graphics cards with full DirectX 9 feature set are currently selling at around 20$. Even these low end cards offer over 2x speed boost compared to your old DirectX 8 card, and the additional features allow you to play newer games (and enable stuff like Vista Aero Glass interface).
