Trials 2 Second Edition version 1.04 released 2008-03-07!

The first patch (v1.04) for Trials 2 Second Edition has been released (2008-03-07).

There was a major problem found in the high score lists and the replay synchronization, and it needed immediate attention. Some players ended up in separate track record lists, and the replays of these players were completely out of synch. The problem has been identified and fixed. The problem was with some sound card device drivers adjusting the floating point precision, and causing the levels load a bit differently.

The list of issues fixed in the patch:
    - Some players ended up to different track record lists than other players.
    - Replays and ghost bikes of some players were out of synch.
    - Game activation said "activation failed" when there was a connection problem, now there is a proper error message (and a lot less angry posts to the customer support in the future).
    - Inferno achievement was not possible to get (it was too hard to test properly)
    - The wheelie exploit some players found is fixed. Now if any part of your bike except the backwheel touches ground, you do not get wheelie distance.
    - Players can now access news even if the game version is old.
    - Players can now access replays in offline mode.
    - Automatic version patcher is now tested and properly configured. It will be used for all future patches.

Unfortunately we had to clear high score lists , as many replays and ghost bikes would remain out of synch otherwise. All your achievements, play time and experience points will remain unchanged.

If you are still running the old version, just download the game again from the download section of the main page (http://www.redlynxtrials.com/MediaDownloads.action). Install the new version to the same directory, and you don't even need to activate the game again. All mirrors have been upgraded (US/EU). We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Only high score record lists were broken (and only for part of the players). Everything else was working fine.

The problem with records was the main issue solved by this patch.

    Update

So I have already downloaded the previous 1.04 update when it first came out... now I just started the program a few minutes ago and its downloading another 106 mb update. There isn't anything about it on the site and I was curious what it was for. Thanks...
