    resolution? (less than required gfx memory) [SOLVED]

    im not sure if thats what you call it? trials2 will only run for me on the 800+600 resolution. if i try to put it on another setting it starts to load and looks alot better. right before the actual game would start the screen turn white and i get a pop up saying out of video memory is there any way i can set my computer to give myself a bit more video memory?? thanks

    if you are on Windows XP which i will assume you are, go to contral pannel and then to Device manager, when in there go to display drivers and tell us what the thing in there is called, then we can work out what card you have so what gfx you can run ect ect

    Control pannel - system - Hardware - Device manager

    when in there go to display drivers and tell us what the thing in there is called, then we can work out what card you have so what gfx you can run ect ect

    You graphics chip (GMA 900) doesn't meet the minimum specs. Intel GMA 950 is the lowest end Intel graphics chip we officially support. The problem is caused by the fact that your graphics chip doesn't have enough memory to load all game textures and 3d-models to the memory. The bigger resolution you use, the more memory is used for screen buffers, and the less memory is available for the game textures and 3d-models.

    In Trials 2 SE we have considerably optimized graphics memory usage on low (default) mode. You should be able to play Trials 2 SE in bigger resolutions also. However your graphics chip is so underpowered that I really don't recommend anything bigger than 1024x768. Intel graphics chips are not really designed for gaming.

    thanks for the help!! yep it might be time to upgrade my trusty old laptop!

    anybody got any ideas on reasonably priced computer to play this game in ultra high res??? keep in mind this is the only game i play on pc so i dont want to spend a whole lot. i do a majority of my gaming on xbox360!! thanks again
