MISSION- Manually Switch Tones During A Song

Straight to the point from a noob guy like me, how do I actually do this?

Thanks in advance for the help!

PS. I am using the Epiphone JR Guitar that came with the game box set.

You need to assign a custom or made up tone to your controller and change to it during a song

I could use some help with this also.. I just ignore it, but it is a skill I'm sure I will need later. I play on a pc.. so changing tone has nothing to do with the controls on your guitar?

They are asking you to change the tone on the guitar, your tone banks on pc are default 1-4, you can also edit or load custom tones in the options menu. So yeah u gotta press one of the keys while playing David Blaine style... or use your keyboard as a stomp box and smash the corner of the board n hope for the best Rocksmith should make a stomp box for this game

If you are following the missions, one of them is to create a custom tone. use tone designer to do this, then save the tone. On PC you can assign the tone to a key on your num-pad, thats what it is looking for when it asks if you want to assign the tone to the tone stick. So you assign it to num-pad 1 for example, then when you are playing just click 1 on the num-pad and it will load that tone.

If you're playing on PC, just hit the number buttons 2, 3, or 4 during a song.
If you're playing on a console, just push the right stick left, up, or right during a song.
