I agree with the previous posters, they can be used pretty much interchangeably offensively and defensively. One thing I would note about FC (if it hasn't been mentioned already), is that you can still blend with cowering NPCs. This is hugely useful when there are only a handful between you and your target and you are trying to line up the perfect hidden kill.
If I had to pick one, however, I'd probably go with TP for two reasons:
-- It interferes with gun and poison dart at a much longer range.
-- Its cooldown period is about 15% shorter.
After many, many, painfully failed attempts I finally noticed the importance of civilian buffers when using fireworks.
Still have no success with corners, but finding them quite useful to avoid stuns from blended targets.
However the comment made about not being able to kill cowering civilian I cannot fully agree with. Especially if your the victim.
I constantly rage out when I attack a civilian even in opposite direction inputted while locked on to a target, no fireworks or abilities used.
When using firecrackers offensively, the same has happened.
I am seriously considering camera angle and direction as a primary cause.
I think I'm using time phase poorly as probably same with all abilities.
My best successful uses for it is drop while running or combined with glimmer.
With good players I boost success rate of the combo by adding a knife to it.
Many issues I don't understand, like running through a trap to kill without any affect, or knife causing no reaction. Or why I can't use most abilities or stun/kill when knifed(seeing same crossed out prompt as when civilian kill stunned) but others can. Or why knife duration doesn't help me get stun but target speed does.
Prevalent to TP and better character control, camera movement seems to be the assumed largest hindrance to every aspect both offensively and defensively to gameplay.
Causing unintended movement, actions, and plenty of frustration when unable to keep up with extraordinarily fast maneuvering opponents.
While camera direction and probably angle up or down causes I think most of my common issues, fault is my own.
But speed to turn, basically tracking potential, is so slow while it sure seems not to be an issue for others.
Can anyone provide me with advice or answers, any advice on any ability or anything to do with MP.
Other than the only thing anyone ever says to me having seen my play or not which is " take time and increase scores". That advice is frustrating if all you ever receive.
When I can get to my target, well and without claim jumpers, I score fine, mindful of variety and usually on par with best players I've seen outside all time bests.
My all time best so far is only 2700 but still learning to successfully combine stealth and competitively fast enough to not be jacked.
