Are all Platforms (Consoles) tied to the Social events? for example if someone on 360 posts a grid to a white whale here in the forums will the XB1 guys be able to have the same social event?
anyways, I need some help in finding 3 social chests to receive a 100%. I've already beat the game and I play on the XB1 console. I've been keeping an eye out on these forums for locations to social chests but when ever someone posts their finding and I go to the location of the chest it simply isn't there...

to undestand really how run the AC4 Social Events, you need to know :
Each plateform have its own server group ! If you play on X360, it is not possible for you to see the events of PS4, or PS3, or PC or WiiU !
(some players have found the same item on another system, but this still very rare, it is just because two servers display the same item at quite the same moment..).
It is for this reason it is OBLIGATORY TO PRECISE here in this thread with witch system you find your item !!!!!!!

Now, if you play on X360 for example, for this system, but the same thing for others, you have not one but many servers !
to see the same events of one other X360 player, you need to be on the same server ! to be on the same server group is of course absolutely not enough !
But you can try to connect on the same server of the player announce his event if you don't find. disconnect you to go for example on uplay, and return on the game, check the location, if not remade again since you find the item. This technique is not sure 100%. some players find after 2 or 3 times, others players after 30 times never find the item.
The best way sure at 90% is to be a lot of active AC4 friends of your system (not 100%, because unfortunetly it still a lot of bugs again between the ubisoft server, and the group servers of each system...).
