    Respawning enemies?

Hey guys, I've been playing MMX for a while now, but I've noticed there's NO monster respawning like the older MMs. All MMs before this one had respawning enemies, in some way (optional, like in MM3-5 or forced, but time based, like in MM6-9).

One of the reasons I bought this game is because the developers promissed that this game WAS going to feature some form of respawning enemies. I hate games where you cant grind freely IF you want to.

So, are there some plans to add respawning enemies in a future patch?

I LOVE that enemies do NOT respawn.

Enemies respawning promotes degenerate gameplay such as grinding the same monsters for XP over and over again. This affects overall balance as well.

    A big NO to respawns.

Yea respawning monsters would be awesome! So you can build up gold/gear and also XP! For example if one of your party members is dead when you kill an enemy they don't get XP. So if that happens frequently then they are left behind and can't catch up.

Also, just grinding and getting a level or two to kill a boss is great, otherwise it makes it more difficult to advance.

Also, if you waste your gold or just need more gold for a particular thing, grinding monsters would be a way to get gold.

You know respawn was optional in MM3-MM5, right?

Having it as an option wouldn't hurt the game for you, and would make the game more complete for people that do like respawning enemies.

And... BALANCE? This game isn't well balanced AT ALL. You can easily gimp yourself just by making the 'wrong' party! This isn't what RPGs are about, and CLEARLY isn't what Might and Magic is about either.

SIGH... I trully hope the development team can fix this... Else I'll have to wait for the modders to fix the game for them. Typical.

My game respawned all outside monsters

After the Blade Master Promotion quest, all the outside monsters for me have respawned. Kinda nice for the exp, but kind of a PITA getting stopped every few tiles to beat down monsters you've already killed before.

Bug? Or was this supposed to happen?

I think this game isn't really well designed . Without respawning monsters and free grinding XPs enough very little people will be able to finish game and will have taste to proceed further under such conditions. I am stuck in Elemental Forge trying to kill final Elemental Gralkor without any success. I play with default group of heroes which should be allegedly well balanced. In normal RPG game I would went out and proceeded to kill some respawned monsters to the time when I was strong enough and could return and be successful. Here there is no chance for my improving in this situation. I have quite little money I have only 6 food max and must go back to Sorpigal very very often which is bothering very much, potions are relatively expensive, there is no alchemy, no collecting herbs and making potions, there is the only shop in Sorpigal when I can buy only several potions at one moment and for big money, there is no chance to buy more scrolls Burning Determination which is the only effective thing against gettiing stunned from Gralkor and so on. I would like to know what exactly did people all the time who tested this game in Beta version. I think I will go to play something else. I am tired from roaming through empty world.

What is it with people these days? If something becomes a little bit more difficult than drinking tea the complaints start.
    a) This game has TWO modes. adventurer ist like drinking tea.
    b) These are the times of INTERNET. So if you are stuck, you will get help EVERYWHERE.
    c) Many old-school players - like me - dont want respawning. So maybe there is a silent majority (that doesnt complain) and is very happy with the current setup.
    d) The game design allows for winning without completing side quests. The current maximum level is around 30-34. But even with 25-29 you would be able to win if you are playing on adventurer and did skill your party at least a little bit reasonably (i.e. each character has at least 1 skill at GM level).

As I can see you are one of the perpetrators of this. Take my congratulations. Good job.

Monsters should respawn like they did in M&M II.

In M&M II it worked like that :

every monsters had a respawn. But the game was not easy because for nearly every pack, the number of monsters was made in function of your level.

They should make a similar function : the higher is your level, the higher is the level of monsters, with more hp and dmg, and the higher they reward experience.
