[Bug] Glitch with smuggler side-quest | Forums

As of 2-12-2014........this bug still persists. I also have TWO Smuggler camps/already looted chests where I cannot loot the chest and the smuggler/pirates keep respawning if you walk away a little bit. This is VERY frustrating because I know there will be something more to do after all these camps are raided. Also I agree that it's weird there is no way to track if you've cleaned them all out or not. Aside from looking at how many treasure chests you have opened, at least you can get a clue that way since the other chests not in Smuggler camps appear on the maps. PLEASE FIX SOON!

Hey, guys, any news on the topic? As for 07 May 2014, the bug is still here
Wasted hours trying to figure out where did i wrong and ended up here, who could imagine you doesn't allowed to open the chests during the mission...
Please, post a workaround somebody. Have anybody wrote to Ubisoft?

i have the same problem but I don't expect any fix.. I have lost my patience with ubi.
I searched a lot about this bug and I found that the only solution is to start a new game and to fail the "kill no one" on the start of the smuggler's side-quest.
I am a completionist but I'm not going to start again a game with so many collectables, that videos can not be skipped, but everyone that start the game for first time must be informed about it.

As of August 6th, there's still no fix. I've pretty much given up on Liberation, it's so frustrating. But it is nice to know it wasn't just me.

September 29. Still no fix. Of course, why work on bugs, people already paid money for this game... I love Ubisoft, but come on!

I have the same bug.

Looting all the chests isn't required for 100% sync nor for any achievements, but still, it's annoying.

During the mission for Roussillon ("Mapping the Bayou"), I thought I was supposed to loot the chests in the smugglers' camps (which was impossible with the Assassin persona without being detected, so I dressed as a slave).
However, you are NOT supposed to loot the chests during that mission, or you will end up with the bug.

Only now got round to playing Liberation and can only say that as of July 2015(!) the bug still persists.
