AC:Liberation HD Trial Version / Full Version Unlock Fail

    Hey everyone,
I pre-ordered AC:Liberation HD from PSN. Woke up and the game has completely downloaded in 2 files, 1 is about 2GB and the other is 6KB. Both were downloaded and now I launch the game, it says ‘Trial Version’ when I choose “Unlock Full Version” option from the menu, it takes me to a page on the PS Store saying “There are are no items you can purchase at this time”. I re-downloaded the 6KB file and nothing has changed.

Anyone facing similar problems? any solutions? I didn’t really pay for a game to get a trial version.

    UPDATE FROM UBISOFT:

"This is because the game has not released yet. Check the PSN store again tomorrow."

    This was their response ^

Perhaps. Buy why would it download early? and a trial? maybe they just want us to play right away tomorrow hence the download today? It’s strange cuz the release date is set as Jan.13.2014 on PSN UK and on other website, the release date is either 14 or 15, Europe and US, respectively.

Yeah everywhere says the release is the 14th, i assume psn had it down as 13th midnight.

it really is annoying that theres no file that unlocks the full game yet..... come on ubisoft!

For some reason the purchase date in my downlaods lsit says the 15th, but that certainly wasnt the case...

    Same here!
    The purchase date says Jan.15.2014.

I really can’t understand these complexities. Just make the game download in complete version. It can arrive early, so what? pre-orders arrive earlier than the release date, most of the time.

Giantbomb, Ign and the assassins creed wikia says release date the 14th. The PC stores says 15th, steam, green man gaming.

however this article http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/10/...a-release-date says the american release is 14th, and the european release is the 15th... wich makes no sense, I mean we have already downlaoded the game, so its not some bandwith issue..

Why should europeans be stuck with the "trial version" (pretty sure we downlaoded the full game size guys....) for another day...

Most importantly the store said release 13th when i bought it...

    I agree with you.
I’ve read the same and yeah, it doesn’t make sense.

But maybe the 13th is when the payment is due, the 14th is the download day, the 15th is the official release day which will roughly be the 14th in the US, due to time differences.
So perhaps that’s their strategy. Give you the full game to download early but locked to a trial version, and on the release date, you don’t wait for it to download, you just activate it.

It’s a cool way though, but I guess we’re both too damn excited to wait another day when the game is ON OUR CONSOLE HDD hehe.

I have the same problem. Paid for, downloaded, installed but when opened, the menu says Trial Version?

SEN lists the release date as 13th

    Released 13 Nov 2013

    Hi guys,

I have reported this - however please do contact both Sony support and Ubisoft support - if the issue continues after the game has officially released in your country.

The small file you have downloaded - is most likely the unlock key - it's possible that it's not activating yet, due to release time /date, however I will check and see, if it's something we or Sony need to know about.

Please remember that different regions, may have different release dates / times - so please check with your local PSN store.
