I guess this forum is well into its twillight at this stage .Have been here well over a decade but of course its been as good as dead for the last 2/3 .But at one stage it was the go to place to find out almost ANYTHING ,certainly related to PCs/IL2/history ,modelling etc etc I still fire up Il2 ,but a lot less .Hyperlobby has hardly ANY full real servers left and the handful of players are split across the different flavours of the game .
It would be easy to gripe about how it all went with/for Ubi / Oleg / Ilya etc and hey , Cliffs of Dover -so good it makes the 'new ' game look a bit silly .(And the mods for it are great ) but this place has a lot of happy memories for me .Bye from Ireland ...Slan!
Sorry to hear this ytareh. Not that i come here anymore, but just curious will you be migrating the BoS forums?

Sorry to see you go. I still come in here once in a while to check out who is still hanging around and what is being discussed. I don't think that I will ever say goodbye as I know that I will stop by here again in the future. As far as the different "versions" of Il2 right now, there is a fantastic mod that makes the Il2 folder over 40Gb in size. I don't have the link handy at the moment but just Google Il2-TFM 4.12. It includes many jets and other great WW2 aircraft. There was a time where I didn't fly Il2 very much but now I find myself firing it up several times a week.
If you still need support for this game, or want to fly with others, go look around for on line squads, although numbers are decreasing, there are still active groups !Originally Posted by janebirkin Go to original post

Yeah, shameless plug for the group of which I am a member ....![]()
Mission4Today and Special Aircraft Service are still fairly active with their support of the game.Originally Posted by janebirkin Go to original post
