Xbox 360 Controller will no longer work

I cannot get my wired xbox 360 controller to work any longer.
I have been able to successfully use it with no problem in the past.
Now it will not work. Uplay displays "controller unplugged", controller connected" when i unplug it and plug it back in.

When the game starts it recognizes my generic piece of ish, but it will not let me setup and use the xbox controller.
The only change i made was to use a usb hub. I removed that from the configuration, and it still WILL NOT WORK. what the F man...

    Any suggestions?
    Just stopped working yesterday.

Hi and welcome to the forums, it sounds as if the USB hub drivers are conflicting, have you tried removing the drivers for this and also the Xbox 360 controller and then restarting the PC so it finds the driver for the controller again? you can do this in device manager.

There is also a troubleshooting guide here http://support.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-o...r-windows-help

Go to Device Manager and completely uninstall the drivers and reinstall. See if that helps.

Reinstalling does not help. Both XBOX controls show with the same drivers. My problem is also that one of the controls sometimes work depending on which physical controller I plug in first, and the second controller shows up as analog and doesn't work at all in the game.

With the controller plugged into the computer and making sure that your computer, not the game, recognized your controller. Run Windows Update and see if there is an update for your driver. Its worth a try if there is one.
