Ubi soft in public relations cockup..... nothing new there then.

December 17, 15:57 local time. Europe, The Netherlands. Nothing on uPlay or Steam yet.

Would be nice if Ubisoft could come forward providing some kind of update.

I've been asking that myself for the past 7 hours! Please Ubisoft: Release Freedom Cry DLC for PC today, as you promised!
I completed the main story. So I'm craving for Freedom Cry!

It should just automatically install once it becomes available on Uplay, just like AC3's episodic DLC.

Nope, AC3 DLCs distributed by using download links sent to customers' emails and plenty of them complained for not receiving any emails and forced to contact support to get download links. if things went the same route as AC3, it would be the same story and expect to find lots of threads about people not getting download links.

Jeez, people. If it is the first time you buy a DLC from Ubisoft, then I understand the confusion. Ubishop won't be updating for at least one more hour. It usually updates around 8:00 pm local time (6:43 local time while writing this).
The Tyranny of King Washington episodes were downloaded through a link we were sent in the e-mail address associated with our account. However, I believe (I am not sure) that Ubisoft recently changed their DLC downloading policy, since Blackbeard's Wrath (AC4) and Homeland Security DLCs (Splinter Cell) were automatically downloaded by the Uplay launcher. Keep an eye on your e-mails and launch the game every 30 mintues to see if there is an update.
