I'm not sure if I will have a PS4 in time, but so far for 2014 I'm looking forward to:

    Assassin's Creed V (if we're getting one)
    Lightning Returns (PS3)
Destiny (I will probably get this on PS3)
    Final Fantasy X HD ^_~ (PS3)
    Kingdom Hearts (PS4)
    Final Fantasy XV (PS4)

    1) The Witcher 3
    2) Rocksteady's next project
    3) Mirror's Edge 2 (or perhaps that will be 2015?)
    4) The Witness
    5) Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number

And ofc AC5, but I didn't have to list that one .

    It's a story centric RPG!
But I'm sure you can jump in, us long time players(and novel readers) will just know a whole lot more.
You can always read up tho...

Word of warning to all potential Witcher players - Don't read the books.

    Why?

    Because they are awesome.

The combat and swordplay in the books is so well narrated and thought out that the game's combat and overall monster hunting structure will pale in comparison. This might spoil your TW experience....which would be a damn shame because those games are amazing.

You know what? eff it. Read and play. You'll love it all.

All the amazeballs games seem to come from Sweden, Poland, Ukraine, Croatia, etc.

US/UK(and Canada) are running dry with occasional good stuff.

    Bloede Dh'oine

It's true that it's really amazing at times but c'mon most of the time Sapkowski's descriptions(especially monsters) are barebones at best, CDPR did a terrific job recreating them in their own vision and making a narrative that is at par with the books if not better.

I guess the PC tradition is a lot stronger in these countries which reflects on the games. In US games are just for kids/teenagers. If you look at CD-Project or 4A they seem to target people older than 14, which is nice.

My Top 5 games in 2014:

    • Watch_Dogs - it's ready when it's ready :/
    • Dragon Age Inquisition - Bioware
    • The Witcher III: Wild Hunt - look forward to this one (played I and II)
    • The Division - the SnowDrop engine looks stunning
    • Quantum Break - time travelling ^^

The next AC (V), Mass Effect (4) and Uncharted (4) have not been confirmed/announced yet, so they are not on my list.
