Has there been any news release that Assassin's Creed V has been confirmed?

I actually wanted a sequel starring Joel and Ellie again .. I just fear that with new characters we wont feel the magic the first one made us feel... I fear New characters would show Promise but missed opportunities and ultimately a letdown . Hell i wouldn't complain even if they Just gave us Ellie about a year after the first game.

How would it feel like AC? It's all set in the same era. Think of it more like the Walking Dead. The comic and TV show are about Rick's group, but the video game has nothing to do with them (minus cameos from Hershel and Glenn). Post-apocalyptic universes can easily have more than one story arc, because for the most part, nobody's special, they're all just normal people trying to survive.

I was going to say something else and removed that AC part.. forget i mentioned it.. I would be happy to have another LOU with other characters but i would still prefer Joel and Ellie to come back.. They showed so much promise for a sequel and to dump them after one game would be disappointing.. especially after that ending, it just gave me more questions rather than giving me closure to the story.

Child of Light looks really pretty, and I seem to like anything with the UbiArt engine
Broken Age, also very pretty
Bioshock Infinite's final chapter
Sleeping Dogs: Triad Wars, if it's a proper sequel and not a mobile game
No Man's Sky, if it succeeds in being the 70s prog rock epic it appears to be right now
The Crew, although I'm very picky about driving games, but it looks like it might have something different
Project Spark, perhaps? Too early to say
