    Shadow boxes

I am having problems running Far Cry 3 on my laptop i have a intel hd 4000 graphics card and i hear that the drivers may be a problem so i went to update the drivers and it says operating system not supported or something i really need help, The game runs smoothly but these boxes that appear around my character and covering sometimes most of the screen make it nearly unplayable. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. And i have tried running directx9 instead of 11 and it doesnt make a difference.

Your laptop with that kind of graphics card is not suited for playing FC3. The best solution is to buy a decent gaming computer. Don't take this personally as some people get quite nasty on here when you tell them the truth about there laptop. One thing you could try though is to lower your graphics settings and see if that helps.

First off, don't listen to the other person saying your iGPU is bad because I can run this game on Intel HD 2500.

I had the same problem as you did earlier tonight and switching from DX11 to DX9 fixed the problem. I know that you said you already tried that and didn't work, but I would recommend retrying that first.

Since it's a laptop, hence proprietary hardware, you better ask in their (manufacturer's) hardware forums about this problem. Other than that it might be a GPU temperature problem causing this issue.
