AC4 Xbox One Black Island DLC not working | Forums

Alright, so, i'm having a similar issue. I got the DLC code for the Black Island content for the Xbox One. I entered the code, unlocked all the DLC, i even got to use it, i had the black sails, the reaper figure head, and the legendary pistols i also got the Captain Morgan's outfit. No idea what happened, logged on today and it all but disappeared. No Black Island marker, no sails, no pistol, no figurehead, no outfit. What the hell happened, i'm at sequence 7 and i have no intention of restarting from scratch, i've done waaay too much of the optional stuff to go back. I really liked having that stuff and those pistols were useful. Any idea what the hell is going on?

Not the only one, i had the same thing happen today. Noticed when i went in to change my outfit that the stuff wasn't there anymore.

Tried something and it worked so far, start a new game in another save slot and it reopened the stuff for me in my normal game.

I think that's how I got my Buccaneer Edition to finally work. But have lost all my dlc islands and golden chests again. Kenway was wearing the Black Island reward. Gone. But I've tried making a second save then going back to my first, even after a reboot and didn't work twice for me. But definetly once.

ubisoft tech support responded with the same link from this thread.... even after I stated I knew how to find it but that it wasnt loading the dlc. I believe this needs a patch to fix completely. I responded back to the ticket saying that i already new where it was, but that it wasnt marking on the map and i couldnt get to it.

I have all the downloads in the dlc section of the game. The black island pack does not show there either. I think my issue is the dlc install is not being seen by the game

My dlc is not loading at all keep going to the coordinates an it just says area not available. Anyone know a way around this. Do you start a new file and go back to the old one. Dont know of its even worth it at this point if the game erases all your items anyway.

Dang it - been following your posts here and @achieve360points.org and really hoped that would help.
I did neglect my complete method:

My games & apps, menu button "Show all add-ons"
Menu button Bucanneer Edition, "uninstall" - repeated for the two ship dlc's
Back out to My games & apps
Menu button AC4, uninstall - keep add-ons (I only had the the season pass and uplay passport left anyway)
Install AC4, yes to update
After installing 100% menu button AC4 "Show all add-ons"
Bucanneer Edition is showing transparent, menu button "install"
Started game. Got messages.

Two things though. Using the menu button command "show all add-ons" doesn't work correctly for AC4 from anywhere other than "My games & apps" & after reinstalling the game in the add-ons screen, the two ship dlcs are completely missing, as opposed to the Bucanneer Edition being transparent and available from the cloud.
This is actually the second time I've had to to crazy stuff to get the pre-order bonuses to work. It never worked, then it worked, then the servers were down so I didn't play and when they came back - gone. Now back. For how long?

Cynic in me says "Till the ubisoft servers go down or I install the next season pack dlc".

Optimist in me says "Never! Patch incoming!"
