HAH. No. I already have a PS4 and a One so I wouldn't be buying the console for this but even if I didn't have either of the new consoles yet, I wouldn't even consider buying one for Blacklist. But let's say they were to release a next gen version of Blacklist with new content and I already have the consoles -- I still wouldn't even consider getting it.
I would, however, buy an Xbox One/PS4 version of SAR, PT, CT, or DA Ver. 1 as they originally were. But in SAR's case, I'd like the 3 DLC/PC missions and for CT, I'd like the 2 DLC co-op missions included. And I would have bought a new gen console for that if I didn't already have them, for sure.
Ha ha funny that this thread from November 2013 suddenly got brought back up again.Somehow old topics like this seem to find their way back up to the top for a while.
It's nice to read different people's responses, especially Jazz, Sage, and Sam, and how you guys want a Conviction remaster or a Deniable Ops remaster. I agree. That would be awesome. I hope one thing that Ubisoft learns from Blacklist is to not outsource the coop, and add Deniable Ops-style modes in from Conviction into SC7.
The thing I was trying to get at with the question of a Blacklist next-gen remaster is that most companies are doing it as a cash cow nowadays.
There are some remasters worth mentioning, but some games that were designed for current gen are getting next-gen remasters. I guess I am actually surprised that Ubisoft did not put some effort into remastering Blacklist, at least with better frame rate and graphics in order to sell a decent amount of copies. That early 2014 slot when Tomb Raider: DE, Thief, and Titanfall, etc., came out would have been perfect to market it. Because games were scarce, some of those games like Thief and Tomb Raider actually sold pretty well considering they were next-gen remasters. I mean, yes, I'm hoping that they are putting their efforts into SC7, but it would have helped sell some more copies of Blacklist either way I believe.
That's the truth man, the hard truth.Originally Posted by S.V. Go to original post
well I wouldn't mind some fixes for the story here and there and a couple of alternations, but not on the expense of Ironside, I'd like the voice acting of SCC to remain the same.Originally Posted by Rea1SamF1sher Go to original post
Also what do you mean by the complete Co-Op story ?, were something missing in SCC ?
I hope Ubisoft learns ALOT of things from past SC titles, D-Ops needs to be back, Separate Story Co-Op Mode with separate characters, old good focus on stealth is a must as well.Originally Posted by KevinPDZ0916 Go to original post
Basically speaking Tom Clancy brand is not that big of a seller to see a Remaster of it, maybe the HD Collection didn't sell well enough and so Ubi ditched any idea of remastering Blacklist/Conviction.The thing I was trying to get at with the question of a Blacklist next-gen remaster is that most companies are doing it as a cash cow nowadays.
