    Transfer Assassin's Creed 4 game files onto another PC

    Hi,

    I downloaded AC4 onto my Laptop and want to transfer the game files onto my gaming PC.
    I tried starting the Uplay Download, pausing, exiting Uplay, copying the files from my Laptop onto my PC and restarting Uplay.
    Uplay doesn't recognize that all those files are already there and continues downloading and overwriting them.

    If i delete the *.state file it tells me the Download has successfully finished but i am not able to start the game.
    Running AC4BFSP.exe just crashes Uplay with the message: "Uplay Launcher has stopped working".
    Trying to verify game files just keeps getting stuck on "initializing" for hours.

    We have a pretty slow Internet connection at home which was the reason i downloaded AC4 on my laptop in the first place.
    If someone has an idea how i could get this to work without waiting for 1-2 Days for the download to finish ...

    Copy all game files, add the registry entry.

    1. Copy this into a text file and save as *.reg.
    2. Then double click the *.reg file to import it into the registry. If you're running a 32-bit Windows remove "Wow6432Node\"
    3. Also, adjust the 'installdir' entry to your installation folder, mind the FORESLASH.

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Ubisoft\As sassin's Creed IV Black Flag]
    "installdir"="C:/Ubisoft/Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag"
    "Language"="English"
    "SKU"="WW"
    Disclaimer: If you follow the steps above, nothing will go wrong. If however you screw up by not following the steps, that's on you.

    for this to work, you need to have the latest file version of "uplay_install.manifest" after all patches applied to game, once you got the file and placed it inside the folder of AC4 and opened the registry keys as Sevendot said, it will work and you will be able to use "verify files" in uplay.

    How to easily do this, tested and confirmed multiple times:
    1. Create a new folder on desktop and paste game files in there
    2. Download and install uplay.
    3. Open uplay and log in.
    4. Start downloading the game and press ok to close download progression screen. Do not close uplay.
    5. Now reopen the download progression again ("Download" button in top right hand corner of uplay)
    6. Now you have an option to cancel or pause the download. once you have about 5mb pause it and close it again. Do not close uplay.
    7. If you left uplay download folder on default your 5mb of installation files should be in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag\uplay_download\273
    8. Cut the game files within the created folder on your desktop and paste them in the folder stated in step 7. choosing copy and replace. Note: use cut and paste as this takes a few seconds compared to lengthy copy and paste.
    9. Now select all those game files again and cut them again. Go up a few folders to where the game is supposed to sit C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag and paste them in there. Note: Uplay should have been open all this time.
    10. Now switch to uplay and press download again, and as soon as you do a prompt will come out. press ok.
    11. Your game is installed and ready to be played. You might have to reopen uplay again.
