Hey everyone,

the second patch is out, and here's the official announcement. Have fun!

Cheers

Your MMX team

---------------------------------

The second official patch is here

Today we are happy to present you the second official patch of Might & Magic X Ė
Legacy Early Access. As well as delivering many game improvements, we are very
excited to announce that this second patch for MMX Early Access comes bundled
with the MMX Modding Kit, allowing you to create your very own adventures!

Before we talk about all the exciting things we have in store, we wanted to thank you
all for the numerous messages posted on the Open dev blog and forums. MMX
would certainly not look so gorgeous today without you.

Let's talk about the Modding Kit release first! We really wanted to get this powerful kit
into your hands as soon as possible, so that you can dive straight into creating and
playing mods before the game is actually fully released. In addition to this, we are
currently developing a new feature for the website, the Maps & Mods tab, which will
enable you to share your mods with other fans and track down the best mods out
there. This feature is not ready yet, but our web developer (Open Dev Blogís father
Supacoco) is working hard to release it before the end of the year, and when finished
it will be accessible to everyone from the Open Dev blog.

The Modding Kit is an extremely flexible, feature-rich tool, and we wanted to show
you some examples of the amazing mods that it can produce. That is why a few
weeks ago we contacted two modders from the MMX community--one from RPG
Codex and the other a MMX Ultimate Adventurer from the Open Dev Blog! They are
currently creating their own mods that will be available when the Maps & Mods
feature goes live. If you too are interested in modding, then you should totally check
out this modding guide.

With the Modding Kit installed you can immediately start creating your own
adventures or just have fun discovering all its features. However you use the kit,
what you learn will be very valuable in the near future when a special modding
contest is announcedÖ Watch this space!

Now letís check out what this second patch brings to MMX:

New features

  • New interactive objects have been added: Liquid Barrels and Buff Statues.
  • New game options. Barks can now be deactivated, and the same goes for
game messages and floating damage numbers. You can now also change the
opacity for tooltips and the quest/action log.
  • Korean language version is now available.
  • And last but not least, you can make your own notes on the Minimap.

Bug fixes

  • Several issues where players got stuck in combat have been fixed.
  • We also fixed several bugs where people got stuck outside of combat.
  • Several UI overlaps have been removed.
  • Items should no longer disappear from your inventory when moved.
  • Various buttons and interaction icons that didnít work have been fixed.

Notes on the complete patch can be found here. All in all, since the last patch, about 150 bugs have been fixed. However, we didnít strip Mamushi of his
right to move diagonally and attack within the same turn. Itís a feature!

Important Notice:

  • Using old saves from previous versions of the game will cause issues. For
example, items at the vendors will be displayed in the wrong order and items
that you had in the inventory before installing the patch will be lost. Therefore,
we recommend that you start a new game after updating the game.
  • For Uplay customers, it is crucial that all 3 parts of the 2nd patch are installed
    before loading the game.

Known Issues

[Freeze][Save/Load] The battle turns wonít end when encountering Brigands in the
1st floor of the Lair of Thief, after having the game saved and loaded again in front of
the opened middle door.

[Freeze][Iven] Game freezes if the player interacts with the door and afterwards fights
Ivenís brigands.

[UI][Options] The drop-down Language menu in Options cannot be fully displayed.

[Monsters][Animation] Monster animations move slower than their actual speed. E.g.
Player can see monsters' red spots shown in the minimap, even though the monsters
didnít move or are not yet in the line of sight. Sometimes monsters will move two tiles
in one turn, because their animation in the previous turn was delayed.

[Condition][Feebleminded] The portrait UI will become disordered when a character
suffers the Feebleminded Condition from monsters.

[UI][Condition] The red arrow indicating the Weakness Condition will be displayed
with a delay on characters' portraits.

[Monsters][Buff] The number of available turns for the coral priestess' liquid
membrane buff is incorrect.

[InteractiveObject] There are some interactive objects which cannot be opened in the
world map.

[Save/Load][Fountain] The fountain is not functional after loading any archive.

[UI][Options] When the player clicks the "apply" button in the option interface, the
display times of game messages will be affected.

[UI][Attributes] The tooltip of the "+" button which is used to add skill points cannot be
seen clearly.

[Items][UI] The Prefix name of the items doesn't match their actual effect.

[UI] The ESC key works improperly when trying to exit and confirm skill improvement.

[Monster][Animation] Moving animation of Kenshi and Coral Priestess is incorrect
when booting the game with a low-spec computer.

Once again, we would like to thank everyone who helped bring this game forward
with their comments, feedback and bug reports. Your contributions are very much
appreciated, keep up the good work!
