How do you set the game to come to a full stop when you miss note/chord?

I have RS1 and '14. I know there is a setting/mode that allows you to have the song come to a full stop (such as when the song first introduces a complex chord that you don't know yet). I've been messing around with Riff Repeater, but can't find this setting.

I'm working through "Message in a Bottle" and when I get to the section that is all chords I struggle to keep up, even when I have the thing set to like 40% speed or below.

If you go into riff repeater you can stop it and see the notes coming up. It could be a little better but works for now.

This has been mentioned a lot. I hope more people keep asking about this. For me its absence a real show stopper and all the other bells and whistles don't make up for it.

    Definitely.
Just enter Riff Repeater while you’re playing a song. The song will prompt you with the Riff Repeater button at the start: B on Xbox 360, Circle on PlayStation 3, or Space Bar on PC or Mac. Then, select Speed. Set the speed your comfort level and then use Section Start and Section End to pick which parts of the song to practice.
