Can future Assassins Creed games have more UNIQUE surprising features?

Assassin's Creed 2 already added flying machine. And flying around the skies of Venice with that was really fun:

Assassins Creed Brotherhood extended it adding more War Machine missions making the most creative use of their talents adding stuffs that we didn't even imagine Brotherhood could have: A Bomber flying machine? A machine gun on a horse carriage in Renaissance Age? A TANK!!!!!!

Revelations added bombs though that weren't the most impressive stuffs...
Then came AC 3.There was Naval Combat!! Black Flag extended Naval Combat to a point it that became a core mechanic of the game.

Now,I'm beginning to wonder....how awesome will Assassins Creed games become if they dig deeper into the past? If they can add amazing things like they did with Flying machine, tanks and Naval combat, they could create A REVOLUTION!!!
Assassins Creed games are truly UNIQUE.I hope the next game becomes a masterpiece.

Maybe they could ad zombies? Or aliens? That would be neat. Air assassinating a zombie and then hidding in a bale of hay.

Yes absolutely. Infact if AC has to remain fresh through the quagmire of yearly releases, it has to keep reinventing itself. Like it added pirate elements in AC4. In a future game, say you play as a general of an army who is also secretly an Assassin. So you'd occasionally have huge scale battles and you'd be able to command your troops. New mechanics would obviously have to be developed. Think of Ryse. That is the only way I see AC remaining "fresh" year after year. An AC game where you are a pure Assassin woks well when the sequels are spaced apart, but fotunately or unfortunately you have to bring out fluffy attractions like these to keep the game fresh year after year. I've read reviews where people said they expected to bored off AC but after playing AC4 they didn't feel anything like that. The reason is AC4 isn't a 100% "pure" AC game and has enough new elements to keep the fatigue feeling at bay. They need to keep doing it in future because unfortunately, yearly sequels are here to stay. And people will get bored at a certain point if you keep making AC1-type games year after year where the protag is an Assassin and only has pure assassin gameplay, no side stuff. But that's no reason to worry as long as the ore AC stuff is intact. I've not played yet so would like to ask those who have: Does the game feels like an AC game with added stuff? Or a pirate game with added AC stuff. No spoilers, as always.

But they have to make sense somehow, AC2/Bro machines worked because it was a "what if Da Vinci historical designs worked?" and naval battles truly existed in real life, let's not have gatling guns in ancient Greece for no reason, i don't think anyone in those times theorized the possibility of such weapon.

Only things that for some reason make sense.

    Yes it can.

On another note I wish we were never told about Naval in AC3, that would've been quite a moment meeting Mr Faulkner.

Ahh, but they did have gatling guns in Japan at the end of the samurai era. Well close enough anyway.

    How about tower defense!

But seriously, I think they should make it Multiplayer Open World for a year, during Napoleonic Wars in London, Paris, Berlin, St. Pete, as well as Frontiers, whatnot.. You can Choose Templar, Assassin, or Mercenary who discovers about the AssTemp conflict similar to Edward, and each have a different story that intervenes with the other two.. Pay me

OR same basis except Ancient Greece, which I like because Ubisoft would have the most free-reign since there is less history

I saw a watch_dogs video where you can try to hack other players without dying. It could similar in "Assassin's Creed 6: Hessian Conflict" but better; your choice: Assassinate, Spy, Assault
I've played MP for Months at a time, and it hasn't changed too much
MMORPG is just not AC, but minor PVP stuff could work, in my opinion and Co-op Missions with your friends could be cool if you have a big enough TV

    2015!

Yep, and you put any Co-op,PvP or anything involving Online features and you get a Big UPlay Pay/Wall to them all. And if you have no internet connection, well you should not play any AC in first place, I got what you are saying, and they are great features, but honestly with Ubisoft' strategy....?

@@@ I agree with that thread - Are totally missing the fantasy and the crazy stuff we were having fun with including the gear from the previous assassins - someone said above "those things have to make sense because Leonardo...) Well, I would say the AC series is Science Fiction games (with the animus and else) we are into a Matrix game simulator located in some different period of time, and since the franchise established that SF setting, it can take some freedom with the content. (I am sorry I am not playing an AC game for learning history, I buy a historic book instead)

    - Furthermore; If that series "wanna be" that historically accurate and teach(es) us some pieces of it, they lost a lot of opportunities

Well take AC3 with the Frontier Men missions

Take the Sea Monster mission - Instead of finding [SPOILER] ...on Boston harbor and thinking WTF, why we did not find "The Turtle" instead - the first submarine used in 1776 by the patriot to sink the British ship in NY harbor? - At least we could learn that the first submarine had been invented and used during the independence war. Imagine the blast if Connor used it for this mission?

Take the UFO instead of [SPOILER] that ridiculous think found for the UFO , why not having instead Connor who find a former British sailor who travelled with Capitan Cook, and discovered that strange flying object [boomerang] on the beach when they debarked in Australia and met with the aboriginals the first time - The Boomerang could be used then by Connor as a weapon... a blast!

    More educative and Funny

Take the bigfoot mission instead of [SPOILER] a big WTF of disappointment inside a cave...why not the find a goofy valet surrounded by wild animals including a chimp (adult chimp are huge) or an Orang Outang for the Bigfoot, (could not be a gorilla they have been discovered in 1901) animals that were part of a menagerie of his rich master (Very popular among the rich people 18th century) and that the valet tried to rescue from a skunked ship. We were leaning about the menagerie and the importation of wild African animal in New England. It could have been expended by finding some wild animals in frontier for the hunting missions and/or rescue some from hunters or soldier.

Another one and funny crazy, but plausible

Imagine during the Summer in the AC3 frontier you could find bees / wasps nests in the trees that you could use against the patrol passing bellow - The same of the roof of the cities nest you get pick up and toss the guards on the roof for getting the guards distracted instead of yelling at you "get down"!
Everything I mention above is plausible and historically accurate.

In AC4 too you do not this kind of little plus that make the game so unique - Imagine player saying "Oh you know what? - in AC4 when you are in the jungle you can use some vicious strategy and with your blow - pipe you can shoot shoot some tropical bee /wasp nest that then falls into the guard bellow, that panic and you can take advantage of it to get ride of them - a blast!" - "You can also use those snakes in the jungle that you collect and put them into a bottle and you can use it to distract the guard or for escaping them".

That kind of stuff could sounds stupid for some, but game are made for having fun, isn't?
