as a PC player.. I don't care when the PC version is released, just as long as it is in fact, released.

I'm happy Ubisoft is even keeping PC players in mind and aren't kicking us to the curb in favor of the console players. Look at what EA did with Plants vs Zombies 2. The first game came out on PC first, but since it was a bigger hit on iPhone, the sequel came out there first. I keep hearing the sequel will come out on PC in the future but that's not good enough. At this point, I won't buy that game even if it was free or EA paid me to play it. They lost me. I'm glad Ubisoft isn't doing the same thing. A PC version is coming and Ubisoft did say they wanted to stop delaying the PC releases. With next gen consoles basically being computers, there shouldn't be a delay before long (possibly with AC5 or at least AC6). Probably depends how long Ubisoft will support current gen consoles and if they can release current and next gen games at the same time going forward. Since the PC and next gen games are far more similar than PC and current gen games, if the PC version gets delayed in the future, then so will the next gen games.

Even with the delay, PC players usually get the better end of the stick anyway. We get better graphics (for the most part since next gen consoles will severely close that gap ... for a while anyway) and we also get the PS3/PS4 exclusive Aveline missions along with all of the various store exclusive DLC packs. I'd say that's enough of a compensation for me to wait for the PC version another 3 weeks. Now if they waited a year to release the PC version, I'd be pissed. If they didn't release it at all, I'd likely just drop the franchise entirely and find something else to play. Another plus of being a PC user is the console players get to find the bugs first. Sucks the PC players have a higher chance of the story being spoiled before we get a chance to play, but meh.

Since it was never 'delayed' - i'm locking this..

It didn't have a release date announced officially, so it was never 'delayed' - its fair to say there was a delay in announcing the release date, but saying the PC version is delayed - makes it sound like it's ready and Ubisoft is holding it back.

They are not - they are releasing the 'next gen' versions all together on the same day.
