WTH just happened at Broken neck!?

I accidentally put this thread in the console section. If a mod could delete the other one, I would appreciate it.

That place just literally destroyed me. I dunno if something bugged out, or what happened.

So, I set up at a good distance. tagged some enemies to watch, and then shot open the tiger cage. Tiger managed to kill ONLY TWO enemies before being taken down. Meanwhile, I am still crouched and hiding in the distance, and somehow the dogs found me! WTH is going on??? It's like I am playing this game on Ultra Hard difficulty suddenly. My rifle is silenced, I was hiding in bushes. To make things worse, the alarm was sounded, reinforcements came, and their vehicle drove straight to me. Then a helicopter shows up as I finally realize I am going to get roflstomped.

I have never had this happen before, nor have I ever seen a tiger go down that fast, and never had dogs manage to find me from this distance and hiding with a suppressor. There went one of the few "free 1500 exp

    OMG they attacked you?

The dogs are just a nuisance but quickly silenced with the machete - don't waste a bullet on them!
Setting the caged animals free only makes sense when the snipers are down - all of them! I cleared 3/4 of Vaas compound with just 2 tigers (warrior difficulty)

It doesn't bother me so much when the dogs can find you so easily, hey, they're dogs, but when you snipe with a silenced rifle from an "undetected" location in the bushes or behind cover, it gripes me that the bad guys know in which direction to come looking for you, and worse, exactly the right spot to lob a grenade to kill you. There is just some really poorly thought out combat AI going on in this game.

The other outpost where the "choppers" will come and attack you once you're detected is at Dry Palms Storage. You need to have either the grenade launcher or RPG launcher in you're arsenal when taking on either of these two outposts to be able to take the choppers down, or you'll burn through all of your rifle/shotgun ammo pretty quickly trying.

The trick with the sniper rifle is to fire one shot and wait 30 seconds or more before you fire another then they don't seem to bother you. When you fire your first shot you will notice they walk around shouting sniper and then they settle down, when that happens fire another shot.

The trick is don't trigger alarm - take down ninja style as many as possible! Never shoot a pirate in a group!
Keep a close eye on the alarm mast in case someone wants to reach the button -. there is no alarm

You can shoot the alarmbutton so they can't be used anymore, but check carefully. There might be two or three of them. Take them all out before you shoot down an enemy.
Best is, to find a hiding spot, from where you can take out all alarms in a short time.

It took me four attempts to get this camp undetected. One time was just bad luck, because I spotted a bear that was about to see me, and when I snuck away from it, I somehow managed to get detected by two guys patrolling. Oddly enough though, I was still crouched in ferns and high grass, so I am still baffled how they are finding me.

This camp is just horrible. way too many things going on (trail with patrol, road nearby, bears in the area, dogs that sniff you out easily, snipers...). I just found it odd that I have been sniping in this fashion the entire game, and suddenly this camp somehow defeats all of my previous tactics.

You will enjoy Wellshore Wreckers/ Tequila Sunrise too which are bigger camps but similar to the tiny Broken Neck Home which is just an animal pest zone - a few outposts in this game are really interesting to take down. Just make sure you have most skills learned especially the heavy gunner takedown with a knife.

The tiger killed everything for me the other day. I just fired one shot at the cage with the sniper rifle and it did the rest, even the dogs.
