    Splinter Cell Blacklist won't launch

Before you start throwing out links and suggestions, know that I do NOT have this issue. Nor will the INI file fix resolve the issue.

    https://support.ubi.com/en-gb/FAQ.as...0000000eZZICA2

My issue is that I have bought Blacklist Deluxe Edition through Steam. I was able to play it a first time. I got in the second time and walked around the plane a bit, then left the game. I came back a couple hours later to attempt to launch it. I got a quick flash of a black CMD prompt referencing my steamapps, Uplay launched and updated, and then Uplay opened. BUT, my Blacklist would not launch. Steam said I was playing Blacklist, and so did my Processes. I could only close the game by restarting my computer or ending the process (Ubisoft Gamelauncher). I have the same problem as this person (and many, many more apparently)

    Video of my error http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZOCUHXj-le4

"Download game, install game, install uplay(if you don't already have it). Click play in steam or uplay launcher. Screen flashes with a small emtpy cmd window and then nothing."

I did try his way of fixing it. Just uninstalling Uplay and Blacklist, wiping every trace from them registry and all. Reinstalling them. It worked, but exactly like the first time. I could play once through the intro sequence, get on the plane. I closed it. Then was asked to launch it again just to check. It worked then. I came back home today and tried to launch, looking forward to some fun co-op Splinter Cell co-op with the gf. The game had the same issue as before.

I was patient before with my half a dozen Conviction errors, but now I am getting pissed. I have spent seventy dollars, only to have this game I was to supposedly enjoy with my girlfriend this weekend end up failing to work. I'd rather not associate my wallet with a business that apparently frustrates many of its consumers and fanbase on a regular basis with tech errors post-launch, rather than attempting to deal with them beforehand. I posted a ticket with support. But, I came here for further help from the community (and possibly mods) in order to resolve this issue. And, if I do happen to find a way to fix this problem, spread around the way to fix it myself. Or at least, some poor bastard like me will be cruising through google trying to find a way to resolve this issue, and finds this post (which will hopefully help them).

    Thanks for any help given.

    UPDATE
My girlfriend, in-game, tried to invite me to a match while I was logged into UPlay. I saw the flash on my friends list, opened the notification (pictures posted after this paragraph) and it said "has invited you to play a game Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Blacklist Deluxe Edition-STEAM. You do not own this game yet."
Obviously, I do own this game. I thought this was important and a interesting piece, and maybe something that could help solve the issue. I REALLY dont want to have to buy the 70$ game again through Uplay though.

    UPDATE 2
Talking with support now. Hopefully something will come out of this. And thankfully, when Ubisoft support does get to you, they tend to be relatively efficient and detailed, so kudos there. Gave them dxdiag and msinfo32 information.

Turns out, as I was starting to fear, that my computer does not support the game. It has to do with Onboard Video Chipsets and Dedicated Video Cards. Onboard video chipsets, not Dedicated video cards, will not works as Blacklist runs high graphic rendering processes.

I solved the problem by moving the following file to a different directory and then starting the game:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Splinter Cell Blacklist\src\SYSTEM\systemdetection.dll

I saw this solution in a Steam thread, but the solution also works with UPlay.
