HOLD X to interact = terrible game mechanic.

I know I'm late to the game here, but the having to HOLD a key to interact with something is one of the worst things about this game, I'm otherwise enjoying it.

Interacting with doors, chests, bodies, dead animals, vehicles, etc, should just be a press of the button, no holding. I don't know how much time I've wasted holding the interact button. On the other hand, picking up weapons when all weapon slots are full should require holding the interact button. This should be just like Borderlands.

Is there some reason holding the button is required for all interactions? Was just pressing the button game-breaking? I don't understand, this just seems like a really bad design flaw.

Yeah, you know I don't understand this myself, but I got used to it. I suppose it was done this way to allow Dev's to assign different actions to the same key??? ... People have complained and hopefully they'll sort this out in Far Cry 4. Otherwise, glad your enjoying the game. Seen your other post as well ... don't be to disheartened if you don't see a reply, the subject has been discussed several times. Again, hopefully Ubi will sort it out in the future.

    Not exactly holding..
.. there seems some delay until the keypress is seen by the software .. about 2 seconds for me. Btw, default key here is E not X

Guess you are playing wth PS3 or Xbox. This is PC section... Maybe you have the windows Xbox controller for PC.
And you're right. It's frustrating that you have to hold the E or in your case the X for some time to execute the command.
