At 3.38 in the game play video Megan Yells out with delight, HEAD SHOT!
I take it that its a insta kill or crit of some sort. not sure what..
However, this surgest that hit boxes are used since she calls it out, and I must say that I've never heard of that in a mmo, only shooters.
Its been stated that the game uses Dices for dmg like a traditional mmo, so.. Can anyone help me out here?!?
pls dont troll and flame, I rly want to know!

EDIT: Would like to add that by the looks of it, Megan has a sniper rifle..
Im not sure if it is actually a given instakill, but i do belive a headshot is a crit of some sort.
How does the crits and aming work? I dont think we have anything solid on this other than the diceroll remark you already named. however here is how i think it will work:
If you aim for the head the game will actually make a roll based on your skills/talents/weapon and your targets skill/talents/armor/cover if you are gonna hit it/him. as opposed to the standard shooter type where you have a formula calculating bulletspread based on different factors. and the crits might work in any number of ways, but seeing as they aim for a certain amount of realism a headshot should be a relatively massive hit no matter your armor or skills.
Check the "what we know thread" i belive i remember reading something about this in there somewhere.
This was some time ago, could have been in another thread, ill try to find it and post here if i can.Originally Posted by Rona78 Go to original post

Still would love to find out why everyone keeps wanting to call this an MMO. I would assume that this being an open-world RPG along the same lines as something like Fallout, just being TPS rather than FPS doesn't make it an MMO. The damage will probably go along the same lines as other Tom Clancy games. I am sure if it is a high enough calibre weapon and the target isn't wearing head armor it should be an instant kill.
Recently finding out that the skill buttons are tied to the bumper make me think there will be no scoping in, even if you have a scope. That actually cuts a lot of my excitement down. I don't like the thought of not being able to scope in. Especially with guns like the M21 in the game. I don't want to half hip fire a sniper rifle.
