Am I the only one that thinks this type of game would be excellent for Kinect?
Doesnt need to have exact one to one tracking basically any horizontal swipe would result in horizonatl attack, same with vertical
Dash forward or back, for character to do same
Raise hand of arm not holding weapon for block
Raise and push with both hands for Pankration
Make a grab motion with both hands for throw moves.
Could detect kicks, headbuts etc

(Still would be even better if there was a controller like PSmove released for xbox one as you could track body with Kinect, have the feel of something in hand when swinging to attack and raise for shield, plus a thumb stick for moving character around and a button to trigger special actions)

It would also recognise when you just flail your arm over and back by reducing the hit damage on your second and subsequent swings
Slow-mo sections would then prompt you to perfectly match a character pose to dodge an enemies swing, or perform a certain movement to perform your own complex super attack, that way impressive combos could be performed that would not work via one to one mapping of player to character

Am interest in seeing the first footage of "Fighter Within" from Ubisoft but I think Spartacus would lend itself to an excellent Kinect fighter.
Maybe a different 1 player experience would be best, playing as a single gladiator, fighting your way through the ranks from new slave to a ludas, to local areans, pits, then finally to Rome and winning your freedom.

RPG elements would be excellent as you would gain experience, equipment and stats boosts
