Yes it’s true; the first (unofficial) patch is now available!



We hope you guys will enjoy it!

As already described on Monday, it was important to us to provide you this patch as quickly as possible, therefore it did not go through all the different “green light channels”, a patch normally needs to go through, in order to be an “official patch”. This is why the patch is labelled as an “unofficial patch”.

Unofficial patches are only available through the beta for Steam users or through the download link on our blog for all other users (please note that the .exe from the download link will not work for steam users!).

Our patch log (please click on the download link on the blog to see) looks like quite a lot of smaller bug fixes, doesn’t it. However please be aware, that fixing something here may break something there. So all in all, the team worked quite a bit last week, but please note that follow-up bugs may occur.

Please note that we worked on fixes regarding save/load issues, which is why we cannot guarantee that your save games work after the patch. If you want to keep your save games, you may want to create a copy of your save file in a different, separate folder.

Last but not least, please keep our “known issues list” and our “troubleshooting guide”. If you have troubles accessing those forums after logging in, please refer to this thread. Thank you!

Patch fails for non-Steam version. Error message "Can't apply patch because %P is not yet installed. Perhaps reason is I have installed MMX on other than the default location? I installed on m y "D: drive with boot on the traditional "C". Installed version is 1.0 --- patch says 1.01.

I tried installing the patch, but when it unpacks it appears to be in German.
When I try to install it, it gives me the option for U.S. English, U.K. English, or Candian English. No matter which one I try, it tells me that I have the incorrect language version and it aborts. I check my language version in-game and it just says plain old "English"

I figured it out. I had to download it through the "steam" instructions and not outside of the steam app

I tried to use the steam method, but the dropdown can't be updated. Can someone tell what i must do?

I have the same problem. It says that private beta 'beta' is now available, but the dropdown is stuck on "opt out of everything".

I cant get the UO patch through steam . Followed the instructions to the letter but as i close close the properties nothing downloads.
