Hey guys, I have raised a case with ubi about this yesterday, but this game (and Rayman Origins) seem to have a poor detection mechanism for controllers.
I'll re-post the majority of my post from http://steamcommunity.com/app/207490...39071182499154 where the same issue is discussed
* While testing, I always turn the controller on and hit the Reset button in Options against controller 1 when the game starts to see what the game has detected
* The games work correctly with a single wired Microsoft Xbox 360 controller (which I borrowed off my brother)
* The games don't work correctly with my Wii U Pro Controller and WiinUSoft
The reason seems to be that Rayman games are attempting to use all available controllers on the system, even if they are unsupported. When using a controller like the Wii U Pro or the PlayStation controller, we end up with two actual controllers in Windows, the original controller and the Xbox 360 (emulated) controller.
You'll see this in Device Manager / Human Interface Devices / HID-compatible game controller. A single game controller is presented when you pair the controller, and a second is presented when you enable the Xbox 360 controller emulator (in my case WiinUSoft). You can also see both controllers by their name and model under Devices and Printers too.
I have found that setting my controller as controller #3 or #4 in WiinUSoft seems to work, and I presume by chance, the Xbox controller is now detected as the first controller by the game while the Wii U Pro is detected as the second. Though, this does seem to be a bit random and unpredictable.
Is there any way to understand exactly what these games are detecting and adjust it?
To clarify, all other games I have installed right now work perfectly with my setup:
* Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons
* Child of Light
* DiRT 3 Complete Edition
* Dust: An Elysian Tail
* Leo’s Fortune
* Life Is Strange
* Ori and the Blind Forest
* Sonic Generations
* South Park - The Stick of Truth
STEAM also picks up the controller correctly.
I really hope someone can help as this would affect anyone using software to present their controller as an Xbox 360 on Windows (e.g. those with PlayStation controllers .etc)
Cheers

Thank you for sharing your solutions and workarounds, nnpv07 and JetsemSzulerem.
If issues persist for anyone, please complete our basic PC troubleshooting and ensure that any other input devices have been unplugged for testing purposes.
Please be advised as well that only officially-supported controllers are guaranteed to work with our games. Any others, or those using software to be detected as other controllers, do not have guaranteed compatibility.
You are welcome to contact us directly via a support case or Live Chat if requiring further assistance.
P.S. I have moved this thread to the Technical Support section for Rayman Legends.

I cannot see that "gamepad controller tab". Where is it or how can I find make it appear?
I presume is inside the game?
Thank you!
Hey Vegethalian,
Can you please clarify whether you are playing a Uplay PC or Steam copy of the game? Are you unable to find the settings described having checked both in the interface and in-game?
From what I know, I believe on Steam you can customise your inputs per game in the game settings. If you don't own the game on Steam, this option may not be available to you.
