If you have 2 tvs and 2 ps4's why not just get two psn accounts and play that way? you pay that much money why not get the extra bit? I would personally LOVE to see one person playing on the console and the other playing on the vita. That would be an amazing next step for console gaming. Being able to coop play through the vita. Then I can sit and play with my brother/ roommate and they make me buy a ps vita in order to do it (Cheaper than a new console more expensive than a year of PS plus subscription) Seems like a win win to me.Originally Posted by oldmrt Go to original post
We currently have 2 xbox live accounts, 2 TVs, 2 Xboxs, but there are only certain games which offer co-op campaign, like Rainbow Six series, Ghost Recon etc.Originally Posted by Ubilax Go to original post
We're not fans of normal multiplayer online, where there are no mission based objectives and the only concern is kill/death ratio. Therefore it'd be great to know if this game can be enjoyed with a friend, playing through the campaign/story mode with your co-op buddy.
My understanding is that you will certainly be able to play with your friend.
That being said, each of you will have your own persistent world until you join together, in which case, the person who invites will play in their own world with their buddy to help them. That friends world will not be involved. Though I imagine that your buddy will be able to take any weapons/loot successfully gained whilst playing together back into his/her own world when they want to play by themselves.
Any missions/activities completed together in your world will not reflect the same in your buddy's world. If you see what I mean.
I doubt very much that this game can even be called 'normal multiplayer'. It seems to me that something new is happening here, and until we fully understand it the language used for the current crop of multiplayer games just will not adequately describe it.
As far as the usual coop experience, I have not seen anything that tells me that you cannot play the entire game cooperatively. Or by yourself, or with randoms.
