Artist you discovered from Rocksmith and loved?

Hey I'm just curious what artist if any you discovered from rocksmith and loved?

I knew rocksmith had a lot of bands I already knew and made me like them more. (Pixes, Modest Mouse, White Stripes.) But the one band I never even heard of and LOVED was Titus Andronicus. They are now one of my favorite artist to listen to and their new album Local Business is one of my top albums as well. I really hope they return in Rocksmith 2014. (Maybe with Ecce Homo off their latest album, that would be sick.)

Anyways, what artist did you guys discover and fall in love with? (If any.)

I really like Red Fang, Yellow Moon Band and Taddy Porter. Sadly, I haven't looked up any of their other songs. The Shins are cool too. Looking forward to the new songs by them in RS14.

I already knew about, and liked Megadeth, but really only listened to a few songs from them before Rocksmith. The game really brought them up to one of my absolute favorite bands, and one of the only bands that I have a firm grip on the discography of.

To be honest, other then the classic rock, I didn't know any of them. I may have heard some of them somewhere along the way in the background but didn't pay it any attention. Now that I'm trying to play along with it and really listen to a wide range of music, I have found that there really was a lot of good music produced after 1980. Being introduced to all this new music has been a lot of fun to say the least!

Taddy porter, gary clark jr and A7X .... and bass.....A couple of songs I didnt like got a different type of appraisal when I decided to play them on bass... while I may not like them I can now appreciate the musical content of them, and a couple just made even less sense when i tried to play different instruments.

I must say, Titus Andronicus was a discovery, but not in a good way I'm afraid. I hate it that it is the first song on the list and I have to listen to some notes every time I pass there... I didn't really discover anything new that knocked me off my feet. As a matter of fact, I had done all this discovering stuff with Rockband. But I did discover the bass play with this game. I was playing the bass on RB but as you had to use the guitar to do so it was pretty much the same, plus you couldn't hear what you were playing so that took some of the fun out of it. My husband's been playing the bass for years and I couldn't understand what he liked about it. With RS I really got to appreciate this instrument. I hope that in the future they will put some artists that I could discover like it was the case for example with Rush that I discoverd playing RB. But most of the time it's just the same artists that come over and over again, nothing really new and mind blowing.

It turns out I really like Best Coast and Titus Andronicus, even though they were really well known in the Indie rock world since the albums they had in this game were on Pitchfork's top 100 albums of 2010, and both ranked pretty high. It also let me hear more songs from The Allman Brothers, Muse, Spoon, and The Black Keys and then I went back and liked most of their stuff that I hadn't heard before. Also discovering new tracks by Tom Petty that I like was a nice surprise.

It also made me realize that I think Eric Clapton's songs are really really boring.
