If its anything like the MAV in Battlefield, it'll be a nightmare to shoot down! Also, once they're missile-capable, they'll become a formidable force to deal with. Even if it is simply a minor distraction from the players on the ground, it just gives you that one other thing to think about, which could really tip the balance in times of battle!Originally Posted by luciusnetheril Go to original post
Exactly! And in BF3 most people seem to just ignore it for some reason, so I end up being the only one wasting magazine after magazine trying to take it down!Originally Posted by TRU-_-LY-YOURS Go to original post
But you're right, they're wicked fun to play with once you've got to grips with it!
Though I agree that you could shoot down a drone in GRFS let's say and extremely hard in BF but you have to remember that drone is being played by a player on a tablet. The Dev Team is not going to say there will be a companion app, get excited everyone you will be able to join your friends who are playing only to die 10 seconds into the PvP battle. And if so what then? if you are unable to join or assist your friends after you just died ten seconds into starting the app and joining your friend's party, how likely are you going to continue play via tablet. There is balance they must achieve. controlling a drone while in game as an engineer is different because that is like ok it got shot down I can still fight, but what happens if you on the tablet and that is it, 10 seconds in you are shot down, do you go back the safe zone and help out other teams, do you go into a queue and have to wait, do you do surveillance type missions or side missions such as tracking down lost kids or something. Things to consider.
Seeing how it's a cover based shooter, I don't really see the issue so long as there's crouch or prone position. And honestly, if it's 2v2, where 2(players in-game)vs2(1 in-game, 1 tablet), I can hardly see the advantage of the tablet drone, unless there's no decent cover around. And automatic weapons seem to be fairly accurate at decent ranges, so there should be not much of an issue to take it down together quickly...With keyboard+Mice, of course![]()
