Let's talk about PC system requirements

After hearing the great news today, we can start discussing about the PC specific things The game is being released around Q4 2014 or Q1 2015. What kind of system requirements do you think this game will have? Are you planning to upgrade your computer?

I'm planning to invest into a 4k display next year so that definitely means a system recheck. Cpus are going to be ok if you have recently bough one. Even couple years old will be fine. There probably will be a amd 9000 series successor around by then and nVidia has their maxwells.

Almost the same, only running two-way SLI EVGA 670 WTF... Good thing "next" gen consoles have NVidia tech in them, should be more SLI friendly.

IMO to max the game out a Maxwell GPU will be necessary.

You're kidding, right?! Both PS4 and XBONE are barely on par with 780 and I'm talking about stock frequency with no overclocking.

Maxwell GPUs will be eating "next gen" consoles for breakfast.

if i'm correct games show at E3 was runnig on pc, at least for some games so the requirements won't be this high i think, since its already "available" on pc.

I've always play mmo on laptop, because i move often, my pc is an old one, buy in 2009, dual core 2.1Ghz ^^
Know it will be released i will change my conputeur in 2014 and wait to see price and perf on new machines to see what's good

Next gen consoles do not use NVidia tech, they are AMD/ATI based architecture.

It's cross-platform. No need to worry, It'll probably run on a 5-year old toaster.

Well I do believe I'll be investing in a new line of GPU by then. but my current system specs I assume would run it decent...in theory.

    i5 3570k (OC'd @ 4.6)
    8GB Corsair Vengeance
Asus Geforce GTX 760 DCU2 OC

But so far this game has ALL of my attention for more details and if-need-be. I will build a whole new rig to run it. I'm TOO excited

You won't need to, your CPU is fine.

Actually, PS4 and XB1 are much less powerful on paper than the 780 but they are HSA powered and I'd wager that their architecture will allow them to punch way above their weight.
I don't think it is wise to underestimate what those consoles are capable of, especially the PS4.

The PC is full of bottlenecks (split memory for one) and devs have to cope with a heavy API such as DX11. On consoles the layer of abstraction is muc thinner and the results will surprise many of you.

This is why I expect great things for Maxwell, if Nvidia can pull it off well this is going to be a true revolution in the PC sphere, devs will have access to unified memory on PC.
