    Opinions on this build, please

I'm looking at putting a new rig together. This is the first draft. I'm planning on getting back into Il-2 1946 and getting it patched up to date, but will it run CLOD, if I decide to go that route? How much room to grow is there in this? Any obvious bottlenecks or incompatibilities?
    TIA

    CPU: Intel Core i5-3570
    Mobo: Asus P8Z77 LE Plus
Cooling: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Ram: Corsair Vengeance Pro Red 16 GB (2X8GB)
Vid Card: MSI GeForce GTX 660 Ti 3 GB
    SSD: Crucial M4 128 GB
    HDD: Western Digital Black 1TB
    DVD-RW: Asus DRW-24 B3ST
    Power: Corsair TX-750
Case: Zalman MS 800 Plus Mid ATX Tower
    Mouse: Corsair Vengeance M65
    Keyboard: Cyborg V7
OS: Windows 7 Pro 64 bit
Software: Office Home and student (although the fact that Outlook is not included is a concern. My isp's email runs off it)
    Joystick: Saitek X-52

Any obvious wastes of money? Anywhere where a little more money might make a big difference? I have a little wiggle room in terms of budget.

I'm no guru, but if Cliffs of Dover is on the agenda (or any other newish sim) I'd suggest at least 12 and preferably 16GB RAM. 8 is enough to run CloD, but doesn't really leave room for lots of planes in the air. As is should run IL2: 1946 with heaps of headroom.

For more in depth analysis you'll need to wait for someone who is a guru.

Thanks Tully. Given the price of ram today, I think its worth spending the extra right away. I've made the change above.

Onboard graphics should eat il2 alive (ought to run Black Death 30-100 FPS) , but if you want to run CloD , BoS or other recent games I'd recommend a dedicated GPU (AMD 78xx series/Nvidia 540 or higher)- that will also free up some of your onboard RAM. -OOPS didn't see the text in white -660 will rip it up! Getting a little jealous now

Cooling is a great choice -mine runs as cool as my water cooled system.
ASUS bios has some great features and easy OC function (got my PhenomII system up to 4.2ghz and stable.)

OS- a sensible choice (W8 is as popular as Vista re Avast demographics.)

Edited out colour tags and changed to italic in the first post so that text can be read easily on new forum colour scheme.
