I bought the Far Cry 3 Deluxe Edition and I can't redeem the code for the bonus content. I went into options>>exclusive content and typed in the cd code that steam gave me and the Game said "Error. This code has already been used." But it was used by me to start the game and register it with u-play. I tried typing it without dashes (-), all caps, and no caps. So far I can't figure out how to get the extra stuff that I payed for. Any ideas on the matter?
I think you can use this code just once and steam confirms it knows the key already - hence all is done!
You have additional icons on the map (monkey heads SP) and a few more weapons - just set waypoint and there you go.
Multiplayer is some more contents too .. see google
I think you have to start a new game to activate the enhanced map.
Check version installed? game menu/handbook/survival guide/wildlife ... check if white tiger and thylacine are listed.. then you got deluxe![]()
I did all that right at the start. I bought the deluxe edition, meaning that I payed $10 more and got the game with it. But when I went in, I tyoed in the original cd key which let me play the game but It doesn't unlock the dlc. So should I try to Download the key only?Originally Posted by Butcherbird59 Go to original post
What if I bought from steam?Originally Posted by GFE-Dutch Go to original post
Meaning you have unlocked the game with the original key fine but the Deluxe key in Exclusive Contents is rejected as being used?Originally Posted by Paladin Glade Go to original post
Remember you can install the keys only once in the (login) same account. Typed in the Deluxe key manually? (no copy/paste)
sounds like u need to contact support
A little late, but for what it is worth here is the text on the matter from my purchase receipt from steam:Originally Posted by Paladin Glade Go to original post

First off I'd like to thank Wolf Pacifier on the steam forums for this topic in starting me down the path to fix this issue. To start make sure everything has admin privileges, this includes Steam, Uplay, and Far Cry 3. Find the install locations of all three and give admin to all the applications in each. For me there were 8 applications in the Uplay folder, For steam I gave admin through task manager rather than the folder apps. After you have given admin for all three of these launch far cry 3 and go to options then exclusive content and type in your Steam deluxe key(If you dont give admin the key will be rejected saying "The Code you entered is not valid" from what I have read this appears to be some issue with the servers on ubisofts side for far cry 3 steam keys) and hopefully it will tell you that the "Collectors Edition has been unlocked". Hopefully this helps you as it did me.
