Salute! I was having problems with my Sapphire 9800pro a while back, and was getting the same problems as many of you others were posting. You know, the blue and black screens of death. Monitor going into sleep mode for no apparent reason. Well I think I tried all of the fixes that i could find in this forum. Moving my sound card to avoid IRQ conflicts, running mem tests, checking temps, turning off fast writes and VPU recover. You name it, I tried it. Anyhow there was one thing that I had done that I thought might have actually fixed the problem (ive been like 3 months now crash free). Anyhow, my suspictions were confirmed when one of my squadmates was expiriencing the EXACT same problem with his new 9600XT on a newly built rig. Anyhow he did this step and he has also been problem free ever since. Check in your device manager under other devices and make sure you dont have anything with a "?" next to it. If you do, choose to update the driver and allow windows to select the best driver. Once youve done that, it should show up as "USB to PCI host controller". Now re-boot and run your game and hopefully you will have solved your problem. Im not sure why windows doesnt automatically install this driver, but it doesnt..Sorry about the rambling but I hope this may put an end to those unfortunate people who spent hrs trying to get theyre sim to play for more than 5 mins without crashing.....Hope it helps SOMEONE out there...SALUTE
