Excuse me when this question gets too off-topic, but could I ask the admins or moderators a question about the new sub-forums in this forum?
What is the idea behind these new sub-forums? Link: http://forums.ubi.com/forumdisplay.php/497-The-Crew?
Which kind of topics can we expect in each sub-forum? The forums aren't closed, so it would be great if we could get some information on which topic would fit in which sub-forum.
e.g. what's the idea behind "Metagame" or "Car Culture". Perhaps some information text underneath the sub-forum title could help the user.
Thanks!
This is true, I just watched a youtube video about the crew, I believe it was one of the interviews they have posted on the official sight where the lead designer? compared The Crew to WoW in that the save is on the server and if you have no internet you cannot play.Originally Posted by tduckadmin Go to original post
Just watched the closed beta dev walkthrough video and read an article that describes the game as being completely player choice through the entire campaign. Meaning it can be played entirely sp or mp or both. The article even further stated that solo performance is encouraged even in team play, since "the scoring system is rewarding individuals and not teams."

I was assuming such an apparent mp styled game would have more reason for team vs solo play, but it appears much of the "teamwork" is just driving together with others for the camaraderie. Whether that means helping one another with breakdowns, offering key navigation communication, working together to attack or fend off attacks I don't know. At first glance I thought this was to be a "road warrior" type game, but all the footage I've seen of it shows relatively clean racing, for an arcade game, and no combat.
I have an unreliable connection as well (stupid satellite internet) but i wouldn't be surprised if they incorporate an offline mode seeing as how there is a solo campaign. Watch Dogs has their "seamless" multiplayer, but it is playable offline. I guess we'll just have to wait till November to find out.Originally Posted by SockPuppet.US Go to original post
As i am a member of the forces and cannot always get connected to the internet, i was wondering if someone could give a definite answer in regards to playing offline.
I am playing the beta version and am keen to buy the game but am not willing to part with money for a game that i might never be able to play. I thank anyone in advance for a positive answer.
it might have been said many times but only by people who aren't devs. If that is the case then once again getting shat on for being in the forces. lol.Originally Posted by MaXiiczek Go to original post
