i dont have the time to skim through all these pages, but can somebody please tell me how many people wished that ubisoft would abandon multiplayer and the map editor that we all know , and replaced it with co-op and user created maps that can only be played single player?

im just curious to know who ubisoft was listening to this time around. if they were listening at all. i sure didnt see anybody screaming for any of that crap. but congrats on finally getting your vehicles back. even though now its kind of pointless.

This sums up the problem right here:
They are not giving proper attention to the MP and map editor. Both have been with most FC games and because of the neglect IGN calls The MP tacked on; says that Ubi should focus on singleplayer and COOP.

Ubi stop listening to IGN and listen to people who actually play your games. Put a greater focus on the MP and map editor (custom mp maps).

Can we add the game being downloadable for pre-loading, as currently myself and many others get this "Uplay is unable to start your download. check that you have an active internet connection and sufficient space on your hard drive and try again"" message when trying to download. we have both active internet connections other wise we wouldn't be able to login to our accounts as for space any true PC gamer would have the space ready long before release date.

I noticed that Far Cry 4 lacked mini games like Poker. I suppose I'll be having the wish of returning mini games for Far Cry 5. While I played Far Cry 4's multiplayer, the size of the map with a match ranging from 3 vs 3 to 5 vs 5, it felt very empty. I much prefer the traditional multiplayer that is basic, symmetrical, and at least has 8 vs 8. It would be nice if it was increased, rather than decreased.

Once I create a Far Cry 5 Wishlist, it will have new wishes, new ideas for existing wishes that are either fulfilled or not. While I do not want to voice my opinion about Far Cry 4 multiplayer's current state, I did enjoy my time in single player. I will have it ready once my ideas or any more new posts here flourish enough that it would be created as a new topic.

I have excellent ideas for Far Cry 5 which cannot be possible for Far Cry 4 as patches or add ons. Also, Far Cry 5 must ONLY be played on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. It should not be on the Xbox 360 or the PlayStation 3. Starting with these:

    1. Three large areas in the game, rather than two like Far Cry 2, 3, and 4. Area one starts the game with you against enemy Militia. Once you unlocked the second area, you face Army regulars that are very well trained. And the last, third area, you fight against the Elite or "Guard". Once you are facing the Elite, you shouldn't be hunting animals anymore. Elites should actually begin harassing the player if the player is currently free roaming, but not too much.
    2. Fortresses should have their own Radio/Bell Tower with snipers, that has a 360 view to keep watch the entire fortress. You must liberate the fortress before you should climb the tower and capture the tower. The fortresses should remain in the fog of war in the map, to keep players feeling intimidated until the towers in these fortresses are captured. By feeling intimidation, they should not see the terrain around the fortress in the map once a nearby Radio/Bell Tower is captured.
    3. There should be a side quest for each captured outpost, where the players are tasked to gather certain resources or rescue NPCs which should able to reinforce these outposts once completed. This should give each outpost a fighting chance against retaliation parties.
    4. While using the camera, the player should be able to take pictures as literal screenshots that can be uploaded through Uplay, saves, or even through Facebook.
    5. Far Cry 4 introduced "Filming" side quests. Why not use actual cameras that can record gameplay? They should last up to 5 minutes, and you have to purchase or find blank tapes to record.
    6. Like in Watch_Dogs, there are certain enemies that can call reinforcements. There should be specific enemies with radio that can call reinforcements without the need to activate alarm poles. While highlighted either by camera or aiming down the sight, they should have own specific highlights.
    7. Once you takedown an enemy, you should able to have them as human shield until too many shots force you to drop them.
    8. This one comes from a part that is likely a spoiler from Far Cry 4. Able to kidnap important enemies, put them in trunks, and then interrogate them. This should give information on specific side quests or fortresses.
    9. Able to customize your appearance that affects gameplay. Just as seen in Assassin's Creed Unity, Splinter Cell Blacklist, South Park: The Stick of Truth, Rainbow Six Vegas 1 & 2.
    10. Enemies should take advantage of attack dogs to seek the player. They should follow the dogs.
    11. Female protagonist, and playable females in multiplayer. Long overdue. For me, I think she should be an American reporter who secretly enters a fictional country to expose what's going on there, but then she has to survive realizing she couldn't escape. Somewhat like Frank West, but similar to the new Lara Croft, except she isn't British.

These tiny details should be addressed:
    1. When driving while looking down, you should see an animation of the character's foot operating the brake pedal, and the throttle/gas pedal.
    2. As you drive, you should be able to flatten foliage like grass like in Far Cry 2.
    3. Able to shoot off branches like in Far Cry 2.
    4. NPCs that survived shots can crawl, or be dragged by his or her teammates. This should apply either friendly or foe.
    5. Dialogue from NPCs need to match the current mood of the situation. If they are rescued, they shouldn't say "Oh hi Ajay, did you miss me?"
    6. Able to look down and see your legs, and perhaps see the whole body. Although I think that may be tricky if the player is kicking.

I will be still thinking more.

Far Cry 5's online multiplayer should stick to its roots and keep the traditional 8 vs 8 symmetrical multiplayer. The developers can keep the asymmetrical if they want, but the multiplayer should not be some sort of trial and error to find ways to keep players playing the game. I cannot stress this enough, but traditional Far Cry players that play multiplayer in legacy Far Cry titles such as Far Cry 1, Far Cry Instincts/Evolution/Predator and Far Cry 2 should be respected. The game should not have a deadline for marketing purposes, it should be polished enough that has everything that a player could ask for. As Blizzard Entertainment always said: "When it's ready". This not only should apply for Far Cry, but for any Ubisoft title.

    • NO micro transactions.
    • Should NOT be forced with Uplay launcher for PC players if bought through Steam. Uplay can still be implement within the game like the console versions.
    • NO Day One DLC
    • Always have the map editor. It should be considered mandatory to design multiplayer maps. Since Far Cry 4 allows players to design single player maps, there's no excuse if it's gone. That should be back and even better than ever.
    • If there has to be a Season Pass, it should have seasonal DLCs. It's not really a season pass if it only has one or two DLC, and has DLCs/pre-order bonuses that are already available from day one. I actually oppose season passes, especially if they are $30 to $50.
    • NO paid ULC. That should be reserved for Uplay's currency system.
    • Traditional 8 vs 8 symmetrical multiplayer with basic game modes such as:
      • Free for all Deatmatch
      • Team Deathmatch
      • Capture the Flag/Diamond/Sample/
      • Assault
      • Domination

    • Server browsers for public custom matches, not just matchmaking.
    • Hosting lobbies as seen in Far Cry Instincts/Evolution/Predator, and Far Cry 2.
    • Weapon, vehicle, turret placement in multiplayer

I will be adding more if necessary, and I will create a new topic for a Far Cry 5 Wishlist.

Having turned around FC4 in 2 years, with what has basically been a mission pack (albeit a very large and fun one) I guess the dev for FC5 is already well underway for a Fall 2016 release? So what location will this be? Perhaps the series will go "urban jungle" like Crysis. Or, perhaps it'll be Far Cry Worlds? (nothing wrong with a bit of slap-stick in space ;-)
