I think the smart way would be custom modes, I like all those modes KrAzY - for me Far Cry Predator had the best game modes in any game I have played I liked every one the way they had them working.
Last Man Standing would be a choice for me in solo and team games, especially if those killed could scroll through the living players and watch as they get wasted one by one I think it would be very popular.
Imagine Predator mode re made using a Yeti - if players could control those running faster and jumping all over the mountains, that would be crazy (again scrolling through the alive players or Yetis so those killed can stay in touch with whats happening)
I think we will get some surprises in what they give us in FC4 so if we can create our own modes such as King Of The Hill or Seek & Secure that would be a big bonus to everyone making maps and playing MP.
As mentioned by many, bring back the Lobby system much like Far Cry Instincts and Far Cry 2 with options such as Quick Match or Custom Match. Spending hours creating maps only to find no one joins or cannot join is frustrating.
Map Creator profiles could be useful to help 'promote' or 'find' maps/content for both users and dev team.
They all seem good KrAzY, personally I would be more interested in how they deal with the custom playlists since certain types of maps are really difficult to place in a box.Originally Posted by KrAzY1337 Go to original post
I remember this map on FC2 where you had to get uphill whilst avoiding cars, barrels and other stuff people where making rain down on you. Another one was on the PS3 side where you would slide down a giant twister, lots of fun there as well but hard to categorize.
Im pretty sure that the community will come up with some incredible ideas again, but the biggest issue we faced were the restrictions in the custom section of FC3.
But like you said a mission based mode where we can set scripted A.I. ourselves would be great.
Thanks for the feedback, Johnnien, FALLEN, and RAZOR.Now since we all know Far Cry 4 will obviously have Uplay features, how about we upload user made maps and content into the uplay servers/database from one platform, and download the same maps in another platform. This will save us a lot of effort, so instead of remaking maps, we get to port maps. Very much like how we can save our characters in Saints Row into the database and upload any character in any platform, or even download into the sequel in your game and play with those characters.
Just imagine creating a map on the Xbox One, or any other platform and download to any platform Far Cry 4 is on. Also to remotely download from Uplay and into the platform of your choice. From Uplay, you can also rate a score or comment on the maps.
That would be nice, its too bad that some really good maps will never be seen crossplatform, allthough I am hoping they will actually give us the option to lock the map by default to avoid 100 copies of Spongebob poluting the servers again.Originally Posted by KrAzY1337 Go to original post
Editing co-op happened often on FC3 and should still be available, just let the original author decide whether he wants to make it editable for the public.
With maps been locked on FC Predator, part of the fun was trying to work out what items some people had used to make custom structures and stuff - I would love the option to fully lock a map and prevent people from even looking in the editor as well as what KrAzY & Johnnien suggested with different levels so people could look at the map with one level and another would allow them to edit and save the map.
