im new here sorry if this has been asked. when this game is labeled as an open world rpg does that mean it is free roam? or do you have to constantly follow the story. it would be cool if it was like gta and you could take as long as you want to complete the main story, and also complete side missions/quests. im begining to not want to buy games for 60 dollars if you play the campaign and finish it in 8 hours, and then for the next couple weeks play the extremely repetitive multiplayer and get bored. and then months later spend another 15-20 dollars on dlc and play that for another couple weeks and then forget about the game you just spent $80-$100 on.
This game is completely free-roam, and it also changes as you play so you will have more to do

Check this out.
Open world means open world. Plus they've said you have full access to the entire world from the moment you log in. As for getting bored, they've mentioned that content will be created randomly by the game itself. Different locations will go critical for different reasons with different enemy factions spawning in different locations. Now admittedly this could get a bit grindy, but with every encounter playing out different than the last, I expect the game will keep people entertained for a good long time.
ok well thanks guys for the informative replies and not roasting me haha. this game sounds very promising and i will for sure buy it if it comes to pc. i just spent my hard earned money on a gaming pc. this game just needs to come to pc and i will be happy. i dont plan on buying a new console anytime soon as im about to go to college haha so this game needs to come to pc.
The Division won't be out this holiday season. "Winter 2014" meaning most likely November or December of next year. Also they have commented on R6 Patriots....it's on the back burner. They either overestimated the power of next gen consoles or drastically underestimated it, so they have a lot of reworking to do and at the moment are focused on other projects so R6 is pretty much shelved until further notice. The last thing I heard though, was that when things die down on other projects they do plan on getting back to R6.
Ugh - ruined my day. I guess I was hoping Spring-ish 2014, I had never seen 'Winter', just 2014. Well, keeps me off these forums for a while and can get to some other games.Originally Posted by roribeedm Go to original post
