Well; This one may get some people thinking...

Well, we know already it's going to be cross platform, for the PS4 and the Xbox One. But of course there is the question still. Do you think that it will be on PC?
The reason I wanna know is that I'm a very avid PC gamer, but i do have a Xbox 360 and a PS3. So there is no hate from me on these matters. Anyways, I would just like to hear other peoples opinion on this matter to.

The more I think about the certification process the more I realize that it may actually be a reason that there could be cross platform servers this generation.

Let me start with a little info on the current gen systems. Sony and Microsoft have different certification procedures currently. This means that either one can refuse a patch for any reason, this would prevent players from playing on the same server if they don't have the same patch. This is why the only cross platform game has been Final Fantasy XI, it used it's own launcher that downloaded patches, getting around MS certification on the Xbox 360, and there was no certification on the PS2 system because it didn't come with the hardware to do updates originally. Squarenix could push a patch anytime they chose.

Now the next generation consoles, it's been stated that MS won't have a certification process, but Sony will....Why does this make me think cross platform is possible now? The devs can push a patch to Xbox One and PC at any point. They don't have to do it right when the patch is ready. They can send the patch off to Sony, let Sony do it's thing, then when the patch goes live on the PS4 they flip the switch for it on the Xbox One and PC the same day.

I'm not really supportive in playing with Xbox players.

In reply to the OP, I was under the impression that it wasn't cross platform and only cross platform between the xbox one/ps4 and tablets? Anyway, no developers like cross platform on PC due to the advantage PC players have of a mouse and keyboard. But it hasnt even been confirmed for PC yet so lets not get our hopes up!
